I think he is.I have had the privalage to see players like Dalglish,Rush,Barnes,Hanson and Souness.

I think that Gerrard is Definately up there with these guys.I havn't seen a lot of threads in the past 2 years just dedicated to our very own footballing hero and really appreciating how good this guy is.

My personal opinion is,i can't think of a single player in world football i would swap him with.

The goal against Olympiacos,the way he lead by example in the 05 champions league final,his pass to cisse ,and brace in the FA cup final,scored in the UEFA cup final.

These are just a few stand out memories off the top of my head,if i googled it,we would be reading this thread alnight!

I look at the kind of respect Fowler generates at the club and feel that Gerrard,being similar in stature and local boy done good,just doesn't seem to.

Does anyone think that he's not appreciated as much as he should be, because of the flirtation with the Chavs?

Imo,if he can lift that premiership trophy for us above his head,he will be the greatest Liverpool player of all time.

If you mean he will go down as a club legend when his career is over then i would say definitely, based on his on-the-field performances, the goals hes got and his contribution to the team as a whole.

He wont be thought of in such high regard as the players you menyion for 2 reasons, 1 would be the Chelsea farce, as someone said earlier that upset a lot of people at the time and nobody forgets - 2 would be that he isnt close to the players you mention in terms of ability and character, he'll never be considered a better player than any of them, and certainly not Kenny
