Oh yeah as well. Among the many on here and on the "other pool sites" who actually think these players are good enough for us to win the league. Thats a funny point you raise there. There are a lot of us who do think they are good enough- maybe it's and the brainless other minority who are wrong and not us. You try and put up an arguement on RAWK for Sissoko being garbage and you'll be chased out of there quicker than manc on merseyside. These are the people who go the game week in week out especially on RAWK so i'm a little more enclined to listen to what they have to say than some "opinion" which has got to based on sweet **** all! Absolutely unbelievable!

That's a good question Shaggy. I'm not saying I don't rate the lad but to be honest I haven't seen much of him cause he played for West Ham and obviously I haven't seen much of West Ham. I think what i've tried to put there is if you don't rate him cause you've not seen him and your waiting to judge him- that's cool, that's what i'm doing.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostIn fairness Sissoko's performances were poor after his injury last season and Arbeloa had a couple of very dodgy games for us at the back-end of last season (can't remember who against) but I agree with the general theme of your post.
One thing though - you agree with him for not rating Benayoun....but Yossi hasn't kicked a single ball for the club? What's all that about?
Re Sissoko: I agree his injury did see a drop in Momo's performances but by the same token if everyone's going off that Gerrard should have been lynched after his performances overall in 2005, because barring a couple of good European displays (**** it- i'll go as far as great) the skipper for that season was absolutely shambolic at times.
Hope that clears up Shaggster- always good to hear from you

Whilst not disagreeing with this I have to point out that his 1st game back was an exception. The one against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. His performance that night should not be forgotten so easily IMO.
After that Shaggy is right in that he didnt play well from then on. Still a great asset for us in certain games and i expect to see him tomorrow night destroying Toulouse.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Of course...very fair point. He was magnificent that night. Was that his very first game back after the shoulder injury?Originally posted by Skillz View PostWhilst not disagreeing with this I have to point out that his 1st game back was an exception. Agreed. That performance in the Nou Camp was the best individual performance i've ever seen from a player in a Liverpool shirt. For some of you that maybe over the top but Momo was sensational that night and i'm just glad I was in Barcelona to witness it. That night the midfield was his and I guarentee you'll never see Ronaldinho so quiet in a game ever again. Momo- he's magic ya know. . .

Well it was as far as i remember, I am sure someone will point it out if i am wrongOriginally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostOf course...very fair point. He was magnificent that night. Was that his very first game back after the shoulder injury?

I think he played either a reserve game or as a sub somewhere but the more i think about it i feel it was his first game back

I think you're right. It was immediately followed by the vermin at home, when he inexplicably SPOONED the ball about 100 feet straight up into the air.Originally posted by Skillz View PostWell it was as far as i remember, I am sure someone will point it out if i am wrong

Thanks Shaggy (well sort of!),Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI think you're right. It was immediately followed by the vermin at home, when he inexplicably SPOONED the ball about 100 feet straight up into the air.
You have reminded me of what my well trained mind has tried to remove.
As good as his game was against Barcelona, it was followed by incredibly poor performances. He just lost it actually.
Haven't given up on him, mind

He did lose it totally but I like him a lot and, based on his irrepressible pre-season performances, seems to be getting back to his destructive best.

Based on his pre-season performances, he has gone up a level. His attacking in particular was FAR better than anything last season. Remember that ball over the top for Pennant. ClassOriginally posted by ShaggyAlonso View Post

I think Yossi is a great signing. We were linked with him before W Ham got him and I watched him in Spain. He was nimble, dangerous and hardly ever gave the ball away. I wanted him to sign for us but it didn't happen and he went to West Ham for a million and I was really pissed off about it.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostIn fairness Sissoko's performances were poor after his injury last season and Arbeloa had a couple of very dodgy games for us at the back-end of last season (can't remember who against) but I agree with the general theme of your post.

I think he's exactly the sort of player we need. He's clever, has vision, just like Luis did, but unlike Luis he rarely gives the ball away cheaply.
I think Yossi is a cracking signing. I'm well happy he's here.
