Robbie (or Threlly), is one of my brothers mates. We have known his family for years through brothers, sister and school etc.

I have watched him growing in maturity as a footballer for years and have always been impressed by him. He has had the right attitude as a person and a player since a very young age. Always willing to learn and improve, and also in helping those out around him.

I think, in the next few years, he could become a very good left back and could do the job for our first team. I really hope he does I think he has gone about things in the roght way and deserves a chance!!!

        Haha. Oh dear.

The loan deal for Liverpool's Besian Idrizaj has collapsed after the player backtracked on the deal at the last possible minute.

The player -- who is currently still registered as on loan to Crystal Palace -- had agreed to join the club following talks with Latics officials.

However, with all arrangements made, the 20-year-old's agent got involved and persuaded the player not to join the club.

Oldhamathletic.co.uk were initially forced into action after Liverpool's official website erroneously announced the deal had gone through.

Besian Idrizaj last night completed a move to Austrian side Wacker Tirol ahead of the transfer deadline.

It had seemed as though Idrizaj - who had spent this season on loan with Crystal Palace - was on his way to Oldham Athletic before a late change of heart instead saw him return to his homeland with Tirol.

Two ****ing million. How come Gary Cahill can fetch £5m while we're reportedly looking at a paltry £2m for a performing Guthrie?

Bolton manager Gary Megson has opened talks with Liverpool in a bid to seal a permanent £2m deal for on-loan midfielder Danny Guthrie at the end of the season. (Daily Star)

Pathetic isnt it. Particularly when you consider Bolton were willing to bid £7m for Leroy Lita. £7m for Lita! They could have had Benjani for the same price, well if he managed to get to the airport on time anyway, lol.

                            Update: 12/03/08

Anderson has injured his hamstring and has been out since the end of January. After his attempts at a comeback had a setback a little over a week ago it looks like he will miss most of March.

Adam Hammill hasn't even been regularly making the bench at Saints of late. Not looking like a good move with Southampton having sold their best players, altered their playing style, appointed a former Newcastle coach as manager on a rolling contract and about to have a takeover in order to avoid administration.

Jack Hobbs came on after 26 minutes in Scunthorpes much needed 1-0 win against Plymouth Argyle. He had lost his place in the starting XI after their defeat to Hull. The match reports indicate that Scunthorpe were the better team and their manager Ian Adkin's was moved to hail a "decent defensive display".

Godwin Antwi had been playing right back for Hartlepool but since their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on the first of the month he hasn't played (or been on the bench). He doesn't appear to be injured although he could have been suspended as he has picked up five yellow cards.

Robbie Threlfall has been an unused sub at Hereford. Another youngster who is perfecting their bench warming skills then.

What's the use of that then, if they don't play? they'd be better off in the reserves.
                              We come not to play.
