I say it's time for a beer run.

No seriously, our record in the league against them is dog ****e as it is against United and that's one of the main reasons why we always finish so far behind them in the league. If we improve against United and Chelsea then we'll close the gap on them, if not then we'll struggle. Nothing to do with the glass being half full or empty, it's reality.

Its all about momentum and belief.............and its just as important when you consider the next game against Sunderland. Win against Chelski and we go against Sunderland with confidence.

Lose against Chelski and I think it makes the Sunderland games twice as hard

EVERY Premier league game is VITALLY important. We should treat all 37 remaining Premier league games as cup finals. We must approach every game expecting a win and demanding a win.
Even if we lose every cup match but win the league it would be a dream come true for me

I dunno what it is about this season but, more than ever, every game feels like a ****ing Cup final! During the Villa game I felt ill with tension. Joke.

The bar has been raised to such an extent that every single point really ****ing matters. It's kinda stressful.

Besides i thought we were famous for NOT singing about other teams

It bugs me when people say this. The meaning clearly isn't "you haven't got any kind of history at all" - that would be idiotic and obviously incorrect. It clearly means "you don't have a history of success", but it wouldn't really work to sing:

                  "**** off Chelsea FC
You haven't got a very successful history..."

I think it's because deep down there's an inkling that we really genuinely COULD do it this year.
Our defence is great, it has been for a while now and that's the foundation of any champion team. This summer has seen Rafa go for it in terms of our attacking options, he's had the money and he's spent it.
The problem for me is that we have a team of players who are inexperienced in terms of winning the league. That counts for a lot and it's so easy for them to lose their nerve. That's why I see every game as vital, we have to keep the confidence high and the belief strong. With a good first half of the season it'll be on.

Imagine the hype and pressure if we do win tho, in some ways it sounds silly but a draw might take the presure off us slightly. As in the bookies wouldn't be changing their odds to us favourites for the title and all the nationals heaping expectation onto us, and then jumping on us at the first sign of rough patch.

3 points is 3 points though, at the end of the day and winning is a habbit. Rafa and Gerrard can keep the lad's feet on the ground

oh of course, I wouldn't be looking for anything less than 3 points, but a draw may end up being a blessing in disguise. We'd still be ahead of the mancs if we won our game in hand and be level with the chavs.

It's a real bugger having that game in hand now, because a win could have seen us at least 4 points clear of the mancs and 3 from the chavs, but then i'm getting back to increasing the expectations again.

Vital vital points. Do not underestimate this. Imagine the level of pressure the lads will be under if we are coming towards the final stretch leading by a couple of points or so, with Utd and Chelsea breathing down our necks. The media hyping us up no end, is our 17 year drought coming to an end?? The pressure from all quarters will be unbearable - the fans, the media, the opposition and their fans etc. It will take a lot of hard work, confidence and belief to keep calm and steady nerves when playing those last few games.

It's a significant game, a draw wouldn't be an awful result really but a loss would knock the wind out of our sails a lot. I'm in the minority at the moment but should we see anonymous performances from Babel or Yossi (if they start) in a performance lacking attacking quality the questions would start to be asked about our Summer dealings.
