After today's events how much would it piss Ferguison off now if Rafa went in and just bid for someone who they've just bought (e.g. Tevez) for a laugh. He'd go even more purple.

EXCLUSIVE: Heinze to fight Premier ruling on Anfield offer

      By PETER FERGUSON

Gabriel Heinze has refused to give up his battle with Manchester United after a two-man Premier League panel rubber-stamped Sir Alex Ferguson's refusal to let him join bitter rivals Liverpool.

The stunned Argentina left back will today discuss an appeal with lawyers after being told a disputed letter allowed him to exit Old Trafford across the English Channel but not the forbidden Mersey.

It will be next month before any appeal is heard but the Premier League would be prepared to re-open the transfer window after August 31 for Heinze to sign for Liverpool if the verdict is overturned.

Heinze told Sportsmail last night: "My fight is for the freedom to negotiate with any club. United never wanted me to leave for one of the big clubs, but this anti-Liverpool clause is incredible."

Premier League chairman Sir Dave Richards and Leeds-based solicitor Peter McCormick disagreed, deciding that he cannot force United to sanction the £6.8million move to Liverpool that Heinze desires.

Ferguson, who blocked the move along with United chief executive David Gill, insisted that there will be no recriminations for Heinze if he decides to see out the last two years of his contract.

But the 29-year-old World Cup defender, who had his heart set on a move to Anfield, seems certain to quit Old Trafford with long-time admirers Real Madrid expected to challenge French champions Lyon.

Lyon president Jean Marie Aulas last night confirmed his interest in signing Heinze, who played in France with Paris St-Germain when United manager Ferguson recruited him three years ago.

Aulas said: "Heinze is a player who figures in our plans. We are well aware of his quality." Heinze said: "I still don't have a clear future.

"I have not spoken with Lyon because I believed my option was Liverpool. I would like a solution. Not playing would be negative for me and also for the club."

Heinze and his agent Roberto Rodriguez believed that a letter signed by Gill confirming United would accept £6.8m for his transfer meant they were committed to sell to any club who matched that financial demand.

But Ferguson and Gill were adamant that did not include title rivals Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal.

The panel ruled yesterday that the disputed letter did not constitute a binding undertaking to offload Heinze to anyone who matched the £6.8m fee after Liverpool alone publicly met that valuation.

History between the north-west giants is such that players rarely make the short move along the M62. Heinze would have become the first player to leave Old Trafford for Anfield since Phil Chisnall in 1964.

Both manager Ferguson and Gill attended Monday's London hearing, United maintaining they made it clear to the Argentine both orally and in writing he would not be permitted to join one of their title rivals.

An Old Trafford spokesman said: "We are pleased that the panel has endorsed our case." Heinze's lawyer Richard Green, of Liverpool firm Hill Dickinson, confirmed last night: "We will appeal."

The Premier League said in a statement: "The hearing concluded that the nature and intention of the disputed June 13 2007 letter, especially when taken in context of verbal discussions and Manchester United's transfer policy, was unambiguous in that it envisages only an international transfer.

"Furthermore, the hearing finds the letter constitutes an 'agreement to agree', and did not create an obligation or binding agreement for the club to transfer the player to any particular club.

"In other words, the letter is evidence of an intention to negotiate, both between the parties and with potential buying clubs, and not evidence of any intention to create legal relations."

Heinze's last-ditch plea will go before the Premier League appeals committee, comprising an independent, legally-qualified chairman, a member of the Premier League panel and a PFA appointee.

What the **** does this has to do with it.

            and Manchester United's transfer policy
The above have absolutely nothing to do with this case, nothing at all.

"Furthermore, the hearing finds the letter constitutes an 'agreement to agree'
The above could mean that United must agree to the deal and it could also mean the other way around. Agreement to agree could as I said mean that United must agree if any club matches the £6.5m figure, agreement to agree.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Corrupted system or not what would we do if Steven Gerrard (or any of our player) decides to play for United ?

I can understand their stance / Fergie's as regards to that. Transfers between both clubs are weird and goes against the grain. Just imagine one of our player wanting to move there and you'll see what I mean.

We should move on now and concentrate on other targets.

Yea, but that's a hypothetical argument. The fact of the matter is, United are cunters. Heinze realised this and is now jumping the ****e sinking ship as quick as he can to the ideal destination that is Liverpool, the ****ing Millennium Falcon of football.

And he will come. **** the 'Gerrard to United' idea - it's non-existant as he's a Scouser, he bleeds red and will finish his career with us (that goes for pretty much everyone in our squad, why would they want to join those *****, when Liverpool is the more handsome option and everyone in the world of football knows this ). Heinze is an Argentinian and if Rafa so wants him then that's what I want. **** everything else.

It will still happen. I have not a feeling of doubt in my mind. This is just my opinion (for the record).

There isn't any doubt whatsoever (that United are cunters ) ... and apparently Heinze is off to Real.
