At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly
Its a good touch by the club but I really really hope that the fans going to the match respect that. I dont want to sit down to watch the match and hear booing when the song is on, I'll end up throwing a bottle at my tv.
So anyone going to the match, please please please respect the little lad and dont mock the song
a discussion about what we would do escalated into ridiculous scenes over the rights and wrongs of why we should or shouldnt do anything on another liverpool forum.
i found it disgusting tbh.
glad were a bit more sensible on here.
and see this for what it is,a touching gesture for a football mad young child.
forget who he supported,he was an 11 year old child from liverpool who was murdered.
were doing the right thing and i applaud the club for doing it.

Who the **** would enter into a debate about "rights & wrongs" over this? It's an open-and-shut case. Events like this cross footballing divides and indeed put football right into perspective. Really, football isn't very important at all and events like Rhys' shocking murder highlights this. Well done LFC.
What forum was this on, by the way? What possible reasons could anyone put forward AGAINST tonight's tribute?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Agreed
The way I see it there is no discussion to be had in this matter. It is a great gesture by the club and I am sure there are few genuine Liverpool fans who do not consider it a fitting or appropriate tribute to the lad.
