Stand up Sammy Lee. Oh, sorry, you are standing up...
unless he gets the sack i can't see that happening and Benitez did not want him anyway (well not in an assistant manager way), so i can't see that happening.

Sadly, Sammy is a great coach but, like Steve McClaren, Brian Kidd and Colin Harvey to name just three, he is probably a better 'number two' than manager. I sincerely hope he doesn't get the boot from Bolton but, despite last weekend's win, I think he won't last the season...

Possibly true but I don't think it would be sensible for us to wait. I actually think he has Bolton playing some decent football and stands a good chance of doing well if he holds on to Anelka and Diouf.
I seem to remember when he left there were quotes attributed to him that he realised that Rafa was about the same age as him and that he needed to progress in his career. Obviously at the time he went only as an assistant to Alladyce but I always thought he had an eye on the top job becoming available.

But one day Rafa will return to Spain and I think it will be sooner rather than later to be honest. If he wins the Premiership this season or next he'll quite rightly be hailed as a hero and will probably leave on a high as he did at Valencia. If he doesn't win the league he'll either jump or be pushed out. Plus, losing Pako must be a big blow to him as he was a great friend as well as a trusted colleague.

I disagree going by his quotes in the close season where he said he could see himself staying for 10/20 years or more
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. I think the indications are that Rafa is here for the long term, we've signed an hell of alot of youth players so he's planning for long term success. I think we should bring in some up and coming coach who's out to build a rep for himself and make Miller no.2, just IMO.
