I am boycotting the Sun and i belive the NOTW and The Sun are related.

If other people wanna read it then that is up to them, if players wanna write for it that is up to them. If i wanna feel disapointed that they do then that is up to me.

Yes but the NOTW didn't print 'The Truth', the *** did. NOTW may be connected to the *** because of who owns them but then so does Sky so by your argument we should be boycotting Sky too.

The reason that the S** and the NOTW are related are because they're owned by the same people. If one of them was not bought by Murdoch, they would not be related. Therefore the connection between the two is Murdoch. So surely they are also just as connected to any other of Murdoch's media outlets.

I think the fact that the NOTW still has a high circulation on Merseyside, proves that the majority of people in Liverpool feel the same way.

I have and dalglish, carra and owen are not the only liverpool players to have done articles for that paper, nor will they be the last but I will always lose a lot of respect for them every time it happens.

If the boycott is extended to NOTW then I'll change my mind but Kenny Dalgilsh went to the funerals, he knows the score aside from the other arguments presented here that's enough for me. This is an intractable argument and people have very strong opinions on it. I really don't see any point in continuing the thread and opinions aren't going to shift either way.

I think we'll just have to learn to respect the opposing opinions. I would also call on people to respect the opinion of carra, dalgilsh and bascombe. They might not like or agree with what they have done, but some of the name calling has been well out of order. Persectuion isn't going to help, it's not going to bring any friends or familly back, it's not going to strengthen the S*n boycott and it's not going to heal wounds.

I think we need to open a new forum so we can discuss these kind of things in another place than the main Liverpool forum so everyone that won't like to read or discuss it won't need to do that and won't see threads about it all over the place.

Then everyone who want to discuss it can subscribe to it, and continue to discuss it if they want.
