Sami will be fine. Can we please have a post about Sami where people DONT mention how slow he is? If Rafa thinks he's up to it then that's good enough for me.

Agger is a bigger blow than Alonso. I'm concerned with the Arsenal game now.

I'm hoping that this has all been made up as it is yet to appear on the offal....

          Arbeloa for CB anyone?

I can see Riise playing CB before Arbeloa does.

Even though Arbeloa has played their before, including IIRC at the end of the Sunderland game?

Sami's a legend. A world class defender. Not worried one bit about his speed.

I'm worried about a central defender picking up another injury whilst Agger is away. Who's to cover? Hobbs, Arbeloa, Riise .. Not world class.

Arbeloa isn't very good in the air and isn't strong enough to impose himself at CB for a full match. It makes me think Rafa'll go Finnan-Carragher-Riise-Arbeloa in games where pace at the back will be crucial.

Call me crazy but I think it might work.

Do we actually know how either of these happened?

I'm assuming Agger did his in training

Alonso had to go off v Pompey, but was it a tackle (don't remember one) or just as he was running

                          Double bollocks.

At least we've got loads of cover for Alonso, but I don't like the thought of Agger being out for up to six weeks.

He was a bit raw but was it really that clever to get rid of Paletta

Disaster. I love him but Sami's no longer a top class defender. Any team that has pacey strikers will rip us a new one. We're just going to have to go all out to score as many goals as possible every game.

                                Finnan----Carra---Arbeloa---Aurelio

The problem is that they will have to play week in week out. We don't have any cover left if we want to play an attacking game. We can't do that with Hyypia.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
