No Agger and more importantly, no Alonso hampers our play.

Leaving Babel and Masch out also makes our team weak.

We are not good enough to rest/lose key players. We need our best men out there in most matches: Reina, Carra, Agger, Masch, Xabi, SG, Torres

Good thing is Porto drew, so it's all to play for. Negatives is that it seems we're in a very bad patch. Is it because of Pako going ? It's clear we're struggling at the moment. Too many players out of form. It's not the end of the world by a long shot but we have it all to do. Never seen as bad a performance by a Liverpool team.

            ****.

But let's bounce-back for Tottenham, play immediately like we played for the last 5 minutes today and cock all over them.

Just need to win one of our away games in europe now....

We deserved that, this will open Rafa's eyes now about the standard of some of the players

It's time for Rafa to sell a few passengers.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think I'm too depressed to post any more after this.

That reminded me of the bad days under Houllier - one dimensional, negative, defending too deep, static going forward, lack of imagination in midfield, woeful passing, not closing down enough.

                    The list goes on.

We made a distinctly average Marseille side look like world beaters tonight.

We have not played well (with the exception of Reading in league cup) since the Derby game.

Our results in that time two 0-0 draws, a 1-0 win, a 1-1 draw and a 0-1 defeat.

That's two goals in five games.

                    Just not good enough.

Reina was easily our best player

                        We missed Arbeloa

                        Where was he?!

But after the international break we have been average to poor.

The passing tonight was just dreadful.

And we didn't pressure them high up the pitch. Why?

                          And tonight everyone played ****e.

Just one of those nights, still think we'll beat Besitkas twice and Porto to qualify.

Imploding is a tad drastic like.

We'll qualify, we'll recove some form in the league but that does not get away from the fact that we have been through yet another early season lull with no apparent explanation. Hopefully we'll be able to look back and be thankful we didn't lose too many points this time.

How come Chelsea beat Valencia away against a better side and we ended up losing? Our team is simply crap and Rafa needs to pick his best team against Spurs, no 'rotation'
