Didnt that Zenden look half decent for them? Showed how crap we played. Everyone has a brilliant game against us. We don't look dangerous

Marseille had a couple of their top players out thought didn't they?Originally posted by fredo View PostWe didn't have a player to play the ball our of defence today, with Stevie having to do that job and Momo having a stinker. That has been our downfall as our passing game didn't materialise at all. We couldn't make two passes all game and didn't create anything until the last 15 mins.
Marseille were the better team, that is all. We couldn't match them. It's worrying.
Still, this is an awful run of form, 1 point from a possible 6 in this group is not good.
Basically, I think there is a very good chance we'll go out now.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

i dont mind losing but not like that. i got up at 4.30am to watch that crap.maybe the 3 or 4 games 10 days caught up with them-no thats not right the team is rotated to ensure that doest happen."I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.
The Future is Red!

Momo was piss poor, gave the ball away at every opportunity.Originally posted by shanklyn View PostProbably a major overreaction, but I wouldn't care if Momo never kicked a ball for us ever again. Sometimes he just looks like a long distance runner who somehow landed on a football pitch. Everyone was **** tonight. Rafa has to stop this.
The fasting must have got to him.We come not to play.

Good post. The players need to play for the shirt this weekend. It's red and it's got a liverbird on it in case any of them have forgotten.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostAgree we haven't been playing well, but imploding? Imploding is your season's over and no more chance of silverware.
It's our first defeat of the season, how we respond will be key.
You know in a perverse way it could be the best thing that could've happened at this juncture. ****in reality check time for everyone. Rafa included. Performances have been poor and everyone needs to get their arse in gear.
First big test of the season. Think we'll bounce back and **** Spurs.

If a player don't play a few games in a row then he will never be able to play himself into top form.
Right now a few players isn't match fit because they don't play enough.
Sissoko, Crouch and Leto was very poor today but you can't expect them to deliver when they are not match fit.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It's only one game and I don't care about the CL as long as we win the league. Still early days but yes it's worrying. There is 90% of the season still to go.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostThose same players didn't look out of form a few weeks back. As people said during the game why did we have all our players back for their corners. Where is our attacking game? That is tactics.

We are a ****ing defensive team. Rafa is always happy with clean sheets if its a draw. He needs to get rid of his European mentality and take a book out of the other successful managers in EnglandOriginally posted by fredo View PostWe're not a defensive team but we didn't show up and have been doing that the last 6 games. It's strange but we should have been losing more than 1 game during that time, so our solidity managed to win us 2 games.
The players need to regroup and regain some confidence. That's the most difficult part. If we lose that, we'll be struggling and out of the title race soon.
