Nothing to do with rotation as Rafa has been doing that year in year out. Could be that some players are letting their heads drop and reading the press too much. We've played above our level the past two seasons, maybe now that we're expected to kick on we've reached a plateau, much the same way to what happened to Ged !

Rafa's nous will be tested now.

Sissoko and Leto got found out tonight for me.

The player playing next to Stevie in midfield has to be good on the ball. Allowing Gerrard to bomb on knowing there's a player alongside him who can spray it about; Mascherano, Lucas, Alonso.

Thought we missed Arbeloa at left back too.

Bad day at the office, **** it, it happens.

Spurs at the weekend is the more important game.

Can you rephrase that Ben, I didn't quite get what you mean!

Why was Momo still on the pitch in the 2nd half FFS!

Hyppia was dreadfully exposed, but with Agger out we had no choice. Is Arbeloa injured, why Aurelio when he's had such a good season? And Leto, WHY!!!!????

Cannot believe it took us till the 88th minute to actually seem like we wanted to score a goal.

I'll go along with that too, just 1 other thing to add - Our so called world class players????? are beginning to look very mediocre.

League is the one we want, not the big ears, we have won it more times before

well I still think as a squad we have enough quality to win the league, the champions league and every cup so im not killing myself yet, BUT.....normally at this stage a manager would change things and hope results picked up...strangely I dont believe that Rafa will change things.....I just dont know what to say about Rafa at this minute........Come on Liverpool, COME ON!

That reminded me of the bad days under Houllier - one dimensional, negative, defending too deep, static going forward, lack of imagination in midfield, woeful passing, not closing down enough.

                  The list goes on.

We made a distinctly average Marseille side look like world beaters tonight.

We have not played well (with the exception of Reading in league cup) since the Derby game.

Our results in that time two 0-0 draws, a 1-0 win, a 1-1 draw and a 0-1 defeat.

That's two goals in five games.

                  Just not good enough.
As I said in the other thread.........shades of Houllier

Without Agger we CANNOT pass the ball from the back and have NO pace back there, thus we hoof it and become dis-jointed.

Without Alonso, we had no one who could control the midfield and the flow of the game, Stevie G is not that type of player he's game is based around burstng from midfield.

                  We need more 'classy' players

Not in this case. We are having trouble to pass the ball five yards, and it's not just one game. We have played rubbish the last four games(PL and CL).
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It doesn't seem like we do as we have no replacement for what Agger and Alonso brings to the table

Spot on for me. Two there who are cultured and composed in posession. Compare that with the two that played instead of them; Hyypia and Sissoko, and there is no comparison.
