No chance. The only way he's gonna get his form back is by playing. He's still our top man but he needs to pull his finger out. Sharpish.

It's not always about roaring your head off like Roy Keane or John Terry. Anyway I think a team needs several leaders on the pitch and shouldn't be reliant on just one - that's where we are lacking, other than with Carra.

He doesnt need to roar his head off, just keep it high and keep fighting. Instead of hiding, as he did in the 2nd half today.

Yes, that's clearly what i said...

A captain has a responsibility to rally his teammates when things arent going well. He should've been talking more, getting players' heads up and encouraging. Instead, he just dropped his head and hid. Bit of a cowardly 2nd half performance from him.

Shame Alonso's out, because it means Gerrard HAS to start at the moment, whether he's performing or not.

He's a player, he's not god. If he plays poorly, he shouldnt keep his place. Especially not when the rotation system leaves GOOD performers sitting on the bench in the next game.

Alonso isnt the fecking skipper though. Gerrard isnt playing like a leader and needs to realise that not giving 100% has its consequences.

Gerrard shouldnt be guaranteed a game if he's not doing the business.

Sorry mate, but every time i looked at him when we lost possession, he was looking at the ground instead of busting a gut to get back and win the ball back.

It wasnt just me who thought this either. He just didnt seem to want it enough.
