I'd welcome him back onto the coaching staff.
He's not in the England set up anymore.

I thought Rafa wanted him to stay but to work as Pako's assistant which Sammy wasn't happy about so he jumped ship

That might be true but Pako aint there anymore and there is no doubting his credentials as a top class coach. I doubt he'll come back but I'd welcome him back with open arms.

              He'd have taken them down.

Another case of a decent No.2 not being up to stepping into the managers shoes.

Edit: hope he doesn't fill pako's shoes either.

Bolton part company with boss Lee

Bolton have parted company with manager Sammy Lee by mutual consent.
Lee was promoted from assistant manager in April after the exit of former boss Sam Allardyce.

But he has had a difficult start to the current campaign as Bolton lie second from bottom of the Premier League with just one league win to their credit.

"This has been a difficult decision for all parties but we have agreed the time is right," Bolton chairman Phil Gartside told the club's website.

Frank McParland was general manager at Bolton and he has also left the club.

Gartside added: "Sammy has played an important role in the club's recent history. We wish Sammy and Frank well for the future.

"Our efforts will now be to look for a replacement manager to concentrate on the future."

                More to follow.

I just hope someone has a cunning plan

                  It makes sense to me.

I was just reading a good article on Vital football and the journo was suggesting bringing Gary Mac back into the fold

I thought he'd be first managerial casualty this year. Mourinho pipped him to it!

I'd take McParland back but leave Sammy Lee alone. I've heard he was very lucky to get his coaching badges in the first place.

Maybe this is what Rafa has been waiting for and why he hasn't appointed a new number two.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think we are lacking some British backroom staff. Bring him back and gary Mac along with him!
