Sammy Lee Sacked...Should we bring him back to Anfield
Did he get them in a fixed phone vote on Blue Peter ?
or from jimmy saville?
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.
The Future is Red!
I know one manager who has worked with him in teh England set up and said that with regards to being a trainer he's one of the best around. He's an extremely highly rated trainer as well as being LFC through and through. If we don't snap him up then someone else will...my money's on Sven to entice him over to Man Citeh
I'd welcome him back, can't see him ruffling anyones feathers.
I used to find it weird seeing him sitting on the Bolton bench when we played them after he left.
Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours
I would take him back, that is, if Rafa wanted him and seen a place for him in his setup. He is a very highly regarded coach and, it is always good to have some ex players about to keep a bit of tradition and nostalgia at the club.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
I wonder if Rafa will try to encourage McParland back - always seemd very complimentary about him and genuinely seemed disapppointed to see him go.
Read an interview with him when he was leaving (on he offal I think) and he came across very well, that he hadn't been looking to leave but it was a great opportunity for him to hold a more senior position than he had at Melwood
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly
