Right, I will lay it on the line.... Rafa or Gerrard?

Before I get shot down for this I think it is a reasonable question and I for one would be very interested to see fans vote.

Who is more valuable to Liverpool FC? Gerrard or Rafa? If one had to be let go, who would it be?

It is obvious to me that there is a serious problem in their relationship, and that there has been since the very start. I really fear that there will be a time when one or the other has to go and that will be a tragedy.

    Rafa.

Or is somebody out there prepared to pay £25-30m for the services of Rafa Benitez?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

        I think I`d keep Rafa.

Of course I desperately want both. I love SG, even when he`s being a sulky gaybo

Gerrard is a mardy arse who has started to think he is more important then he actually is.

Gerrard in the centre was a mistake on Saturday, it would have been so much better had he started on the right

Rafa on the other hand has started to bamboozle me, however the substitution of Gerrard was brilliant a nice kick up the backside for our captain.

I'd go with Gerrard, but Rafa is trying my patience.
            We come not to play.

Why on earth do you think there is a problem, Stevie G for all his worth is not beyond being hauled off to try something different. He may be our talisman but sometimes Coaches get paid for trying something different. It wasnt working on Saturday, perhaps Gerrards frustrations were being felt thru the whole team and Rafa decided to act. Its what he gets paid for at the end of the day.

In my opinion when Gerrard left the field we seemed to start playing better football and had Everton on the rack for the last 15 minutes and we even looked more likely to score.

                    Rafa.

                    a few stats

                    With Gerrard P9 W4 D4 L1 F10 A7

                    League 6
                    Champions League 3

                    Without P5 W4 D1 F16 A2

                    League 3
                    Champions League 1
                    Carling Cup 1

Im not saying get rid of SG. However, the changes Rafa made lead to the winning goal ( lucky or not they did).

This isnt a rant but, when Man U, or Chelsea win when they re playing crap people say thats the sign of potential champions. When we do it we bicker about it and try and create a rivalry between our manager and star player. Lets just be happy with the result, which is 3 points, away, against one of the better teams outside of the top 4.

There does seem to be an uncomfortable relationship - I cannot put my finger on it but it just does not seem right.

It was a bizzarre decision by Rafa on Saturday. Ok, so we went on to win the game, but without Stevie we would not even have got back into it. And Rafas reasoning baffled me even more - were we not dominating the game at that stage?

There are many instances during Rafas reign when Stevie has almost single handedly pulled us out of the fire. I am not sure if Rafa truly values the input from our Captain.

                              As for the question...

Losing Rafa would set us back more years than losing Gerrard. The manager's inprint is a long term one and rebuilding those foundations is a tougher, more long term job than simply taking one player out of the equation.

If they have differences of opinion, Gerrard needs to grow up, remember what professionalism means and accept what the criteria of his job are - to act upon instructions given to him by his BOSS.
