Thanjk you.
Paul.S
He outdid himself today. Utter sh!te. How he plays in our first 11 I'll never f**king know. He doesn't deserve a place in the side. What a shambles of a player he is.
Tell what's more of a shambles mate, the fact that Rafa didn't sub him.
His CONFIDENCE is at rock bottom, what do you expect a World class performance? Oh its only Luton that'll boost his confidence.
Nail on head here FRANK-
Either way with all that work, once he gets the ball he has neither the energy nor concentration levels to use it productively.
I feel a bit sorry for the lad. He's clearly out of his depth and not going to make it at our club - only a matter of time before he is shipped out. But we definitely need 3 new strikers. 2 right now.
Going back to my point the other day, why not sell him now?
Surely just by getting rid of him we instantly improve the side.
Today he completed more passes to Luton players than he did to his own team-mates.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
That's actually the main problem. He isn't good enough or fast enough to get in the correct positions to score. If he was missing a bucket load, you always know that the luck can change in a flash. When he is not even getting in positions to score, that's the time to panic.
On it can't all be blamed on service. Torres is scoring goals. He ever doesn't suit are system or isn't good enough. Either way we need to get rid.
Torres cost over 20 million quid and is World class, he can and most of the time does score goals from nothing.

I agree. We should re-vamp our strike-force this window. Get what we can for him and Crouch and get 2 srikers in and move on ASAP. Voronin will be worth very little.
I agree with Frank here. He isnt the player he was when he joined us. When he played against Everton and West Ham when he first came here he looked very promising - some people on KT even talked of Dalglish like comparisons believe it or not. But over the months he seemed to have regressed. It's like his natural game has been changed by the manager/coaches and he hasn't had the ability to adapt to it and still be a threat. Perhaps his best role is played up top, with good service, where he can get the goals and his confidence can thrive. Clearly he now has a different role to his Feynoord days and with it all his threat and confidence has gone. Plus he is in a harder league and has yet to really prove he belongs in it. Shame really.

Doubt it.
He played the full 90.
Anybody else would've subbed him at half time.
In fact, **** that, 99% of people wouldn't have started him.
Is Kuyt Rafa's blind spot, like Heskey/Cheyrou were with Ged?
Didn't mean this game specifically...his whole (short, probably) career here has been as a 'tireless worker'. He's professional enough to go out and do what he's told. I think that's stifled any game he might have had in his locker when we bought him.
He'll go back to Holland and score loads of goals again...eventually.
Francis.

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

i'm starting to think so. crouch has been relegated to third/fourth choice from the beginning of the season and the **** performances of kuyt and voronin have done nothing to change that. kuyt wouldn't make the derby first 11

True. He looks no better than Steve Howard, and Paul Jewell has got rid of him! Looks same sort of player at the moment too......
