Something else that really annoys me is when people say "but houllier nearly died for the club"!! FFS, no he didn't! He fell ill at work and went home where he recuperated, just like anyone else would have done. The way some people go on about this you would think that he chose to risk his life!

Yep. "Nearly dying" is purely incidental, what would make him stand out is if he worked harder than any other managers. Now can anyone say with any certainty that he did? I for one find it hard to believe he worked as hard or was as meticulous as RAfa is for example.

Houllier also left our next manager with a more or less impossible task with some **** players on high wages.

It's only this season that Rafa has been to compete in the transfer market and that's because of the takeover.

£7m/window. Thanks Houllier, that is what Rafa were left with after your brilliant show in the transfer market.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Houllier tied Rafa's hands in the transfer market. Given that, what Rafa acheived in his first three seasons at Anfield is nothing short of miraculous.

                    Exactly Dhavlos.

I really liked Houllier but he did leave Rafa with a few shockers in the squad and it's not going to change over night. Rafa needed time and this season he pretty much has his own squad, not one made up of Houllier's buys.

This season is going to finish great for us,FACT

I don't know about that. I'm sure he respects the fact that compared to Shanks and Paisley he was pretty small beer in LFC history.
Same is true if you compare him to Rafa and Kenny and Fagan who actually won one or both of the trophies we most aspire to.

In summary, he knows his history and he is to be respected for that

I'm sure he'd just shrug and blame his poor position on someone else.

Fair enough, but not even ONE vote.

He doesn't deserve one when you consider who he's up against.
