They all contribute but those 3 you mention, for me, are all massivley important.

        Who's disputing that though??

        Of course we would.

But without them, we should still be capable of winning games. If we're THAT reliant on those three, that we can only win 2 of every 7 league games without them, then our squad is ****e and there's only one man who's been signing players that are allegedly not good enough.

How do you explain that one? Eh.... the fact that Wenger, for the most part, has bought young players cheap and nurtured them over time. He's had long enough to do it afterall.

Rafa's trying to do the same and we might just see a few of them make the grade.

            Missing the point again.

We cant guarantee they'll be fit. Anyone can get injured.

Are you suggesting we should only have a good enough squad if nobody gets injured? Injuries are part and parcel, they happen to everyone.

If we were missing 6, 7, 8 first teamers, then yeah, it'd rightly have a majorly adverse affect. But it's THREE. And all in different positions. Is our squad that weak that we cant have ONE replacement to come in and do a decent enough job for a couple of months?

                I sincerely hope we do.

The ones that have been used havent worked out great though unfortunately.

I hope the next few are better than the likes of Paletta, Gonzalez etc. Fingers crossed.

So our squad (is by your definition ****). How many teams can a temporarily ****e squad beat?

In fairness, it's the backbone and that does make a big difference.

If you gave me 6 players I wouldn't want injured, they'd be Gerrard, Alonso, Agger, Carra, Torres and Reina.

It would be like taking out Ferdinand, Rooney and Scholes from utd.

Agreed though that we should have more strength in depth.

                    Keita is the man.

I'm also not happy with the lack of youth coming through. I like the look of Guthrie over at Bolton but no doubt he'll be sold on since he looks like he could offer us some quality.

I'm saying it's ****e, because you lot are using the injuries to justify the poor results. Which suggests that the squad is ****e, because a whole three players are out and we cant cope with it.

Certain backup players arent good enough over a 38 game season, but should sure as hell be able to do a job for a few games against also-ran opposition.

Furthermore, in the cases where a backup player is still a very good option, i'd like to see them used. As opposed to the inferior dutch or ukranian options...

I don't want Robbie back but if he was here I would want him to start in front of Kuyt and Voronin and that's for sure. Having a great workrate is not much good is you haven't got an end product.

As Liverpool fans we have the right to have a go at the manager and the players when things are not going well.
Did you see the size off those chickens?

Naturally not all will make it, I'm sure they don't down at Arsenal, but if we get say...four or five players who make the grade and are good enough and another few who we can sell for a profit that would be quite good, imho ofcourse.

Maybe, just maybe, that given the time that Wenger's had people will be saying that Rafa built most of his team on a shoe string in years to come.

There's no guarantee but it's possible.

One thing's for sure though there's alot of goings on behind te scenes at LFC which we probably wont see the fruits of for a few years but hopefully in the long term we'll begin to see some youngsters, who are good enough, brought through.
