Anelka is a different player. IMO Doyle is not good enough, and Lita is crap.

I would agree that he is not prem proven. But how can you make such a statement about a player only starting in the prem and has 4 goals in 7?

From what I saw yesterday Jones if far better at holding the ball up then Crouch. He hardly made a mistake all game.

Crouch is a very poor striker. Many people fail to see that. He has a great first touch, great control, he is good at flick ons and he is 6'7. On the bad side, he is a very very inconsistant finisher. He misses 5 sitters before he scores 1 good goal. He has no pace, no strength, no aggression. His anticipation when jumping for headers in unbelievably bad and his movement in and around the box isnt great either. There are a lot more negatives in Crouch than these though.

FWIW, I think Jones would be a very good signing. He is a genuine threat in the air and is demonstrating with Sunderland he has the heart and the hunger to succeed.

He very well could be. It depends on how good he is technically.
