Sorry mate but that is IMHO bollox. Crouch, Kuyt and Voronin are strikers bought with limited funds and are all players the other top four would not poke with a stick.

To be fair, the crow has been awesome over the last week. He might not make it at the other three but he seems to fit our style of play better than a lot of "better" strikers would.

what other teams can boast a crouch type of player (someone who can win the headers, hold the ball up, score goals) a kyut type of player (covers every blade of grass looking for the ball, links up well with his midfield, scores goals) a voronin type of player (same as kyut but with more pace, can run behind the back four or drop between the gaps and score goals) and the torres type of player (will score goals, great first touch, wins headers, scores goals, passes well, links well) ???

none of the other top four can say they have these players and that is why i beleive this group of strikers are good enough (IMHO) to win us the league

I happen to think there are players out there better then Crouch, Kuyt and Voronin.

Plus I dont think these three are good enough to win the league.
We could win it with one or two of them, but IMO it will be hard to do it with all three. I think that is why we keep hearing that Crouch will be sold in Jan.

In basketball they would call Crouch a mismatch. Against the right opposition he is absolutely unplayable. It's be insane to throw away an advantage like that.

That aside, big hold up players, with technique are almost impossible to find. Who is there? Drogba, Toni? Who else would give you that same mismatch?

but rooney and tevez are similar players and saha (although good) doesn't offer a great difference from these two.

adebayor is a good target man and van persie is a good player too but your missing the point.....they have less options up front than we do. we have players that can dop the same job as these players (whether they are better players or not) plus other players that can do more than these players can.

if these players you mentioned are ineffective in their games then their replacements will also be ineffective....we can change our attacks by bringing on players who have different styles of play!!

None will, Rafa won't jettison one until the end of the season. If all stays the same and we have enough for a good replacement, Kuyt will be the one to go.

I think you are right though. We probably do have more options. But we are still far behind in terms of quality.
