We can cover for everyone else, including players like Gerrard.

We will be ok as long as everyone don't get long term injuries at the same time. We won the CL the season we got injury after injury. 13 operations if I remember things right.

We have cover for them all. That's what sqauds are for.

Johnny rockets only has 18 months left on his deal, and Sissoko is now no longer needed. Teams aren't daft, well apart from Spurs, and Villa, and Sunderland have bought a load of ****e for big money, and Fulham......hold on that's 4 clubs daft enough to spend big money on ****e. £30m for them both then.
I only counted on £12m-£13m for both of them. I think that is a very fair price.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        Garay, around £10m.
        Aguero £22m.

        So £35m+.

Sell Riise, Sissoko, Carson and Crouch. Riise around £4m-£5m, Sissoko £8m+, Carson £10m and Crouch £10m.

£32m-£33m plus £20m. We should easily be able to afford to sign all three.

Rafa will probably also get more money to spend next summer.
AFII keep dreaming. If Rafa valued Torres at £20m there is no way he would agree paying £22m for Aguero.

I can see where AF is coming from - we clearly need cover at CB and I would be inclined to bring in a new player now and allow them to settle. I'm not sure I can see Rafa paying big money (like the £10m mooted for Garay), especially in January. If he was desperate for another CB one would have come in before the season started.

I think it would be a big boost to see a couple of signings in January. I would ideally like to see a one attacking player (either striker or wide attacker - but either way someone who chips in with goals) and effectively a left footed version of Arbeloa to sort out our defensive cover for the long term both at LB and CB.

You dont have cover for them......those 3 are just all world class players sorely missed by any team lucky enough to have them

                Rafa tried to sign Heinze.

Yes but he didn't have a backup option which would have probably been the case if he viewed it as a necessity, instead he gambled on the FA allowing us to sign Heinze.

                          And is average.

He's worth no more than £5m if you go on how good he actually is.

It's players like Aguero and Garay we should be after. Players that will make a difference.

If you want to win the title then it will cost a lot of money to do it. What about Arsenal then? They will have to spend on quality cover for Fabregas and Toure or they will suffer later on.

Fabregas already look tired and it's not even December yet and he need to play in every league game.
