I wonder if the atmosphere tonight will be similar to that of the Roma game when Houllier came back.

If it is, I almost feel sorry for Porto.
    Oh I don't know.

i can only see that they'd have lined up anyone if they'd gotten uncomfortable after athens and said 'once more and he's out'

you're right tho, all we do know is what you've said and the rest is all speculation.

What an atmosphere its gonna be tonight tho. Must win european game. Manager needing fans support. the place is gonna rock.

Firstly I like Mourinho. I think he has a bit of character about him, is undoubtably an excellent coach and he has an excellent understanding of the game. However the beauty of this world is that everyone is different so if people think he is a ****house then that is there perogative.

However, and I am repeating something that has been stated many, many times over the past few days, we already have a manager (and a ****ing great one at that) who has shown total respect for the fans, came in to a club that was frankly in a bit of a mess, won big, big games and trophies with a firstly mediocre, then developing team and who, with time, will lead us to even greater things. The discussion of whether or not Mourinho is a suitable alternative should be academic for any Liverpool fan as long as Rafa is still in the job. We shouldn't be talking about what we would do if Mourinho came in as opposed to another manager, we should be talking about everything we can do to show support for Rafa (and if Revo's post is right it looks like he isn't going anywhere although granted I interpreted it the way I wanted to).
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

The only way I would accept Mourinho into LFC is as rafa's No 2

I would rather have Rafas No.2 than Mourinho sitting on the bench.

I like the sound of that.
That is not a yes to Nicol, but a no to Maureen before anyone starts.

Makes my skin crawl thinking Mourinho has his eye on Rafas job.

This is a very interesting thread. People are bound to have strong opinions on this subject and there are bound to be diametrically opposed views.

However one perturbing feature of the thread is the abuse dished out to people of opposite opinions.

Strong opinions are great to see and make interesting discussion but I see the vitriol, intolerance and abuse as uncivil.

My own thoughts are that I hope the players feel passionately about supporting their manager and that this drives them to a roaring victory!

I have no comment about our owners because I cannot discern what is true and what is media contrived hype.

If it is, I think I might emigrate.
