If he loves the club like he says he does he would play for 15-20k he's already made a fortune.

Personally i would have a Pay as you pay deal for him and goal and assist bonuses
seriously mate, if you were offered a contract at one club for 20k and one at another for 40k, which would you take, to drop his wages so drastically would be unfair, it's not his fault he's been injured and that we agreed to pay him high wages in the first place. If he plays well enough for us to even offer him a new contract, then he must have proved something by that point, it's not like we have to offer him a new deal is it.

I'll be honest I had given up on Kewell. Talented though he is, i thought he was past it and should be moved on.

However, now I'm not so sure. He's been very good since he came back and if his injury problems are behind him we may see the real Kewell at LFC for the 1st time.

Obviously the key thing is the medics opinion. If he gets the thumbs up give him a 2 year deal.

I think you mean the second time ?? His first 6 months with LFC were fantastic ...

I love Kewell, but to be honest I don't think we should offer anything until he is completely match fit and put a good run of games together with no injury ...

If he can do that, I would offer him a 2 year contract, worth 60k per week as long as he fit and available to play. If injured, give him half. Works out nicely for everybody.

You think that because he has been injured for the best part of 2 years that he has just been sitting back and watching the TV, whilst collecting his pay check!

The reality is that he has probably worked the hardest and been one of the most dedicated of all the players, to come back time and time again from injury.

To say he has not shown commitment is outrageous! To reason that because he has been injured he should be on less money than Neil Mellor was on…. That’s a joke, it has to be.

He should be offered a contract extension of 2 years on the same deal.

or even 1 year on the same deal

          Cracking post fella.
