Thats why I used the term Market Value! Becasue who ever signs him will have a player that they could sell for £4m or so!

Let me break it down for you....

I offer Kewell a £1 contract for 2 years... he says yes, then I sell him for £2m the next season, I make a bit of cash... you see!

That is the way agents see these things....

His Market Value is about £4m... not his vaue to the club, his value to the club is Zero becasue of the Bosman ruling which you so helpfully pointed out for us.

So whoever signs him will have to make an offer that reflects his Market Value...... the other option is he plays for less for who he wants to, but after the way the fans have treated him.... i dont know what might happen there?

I am not saying that is what we will offer straight off. If we get away with 1 year + 1yr ext, great. I just think that is where we will end up.

If he decides he prefers the money route, then let him go, i couldnt give a ****e. If he doesnt want to stay, repay the faith of rafa and the fans and play for LFC, then i certainly dont want to see us offering him MORE money.

Yeah but you aren't doing the negotiating (thank god). I'm just being realistic that when it comes down to it he will play for less than what is being offered but he will still want what he see's as a fair wedge.

Well TBH I think 40k/wk is a fair wedge for any footballer but thats another story.

All I have done is post what I think we will end up paying. Again

40k/pw with incentives to earn 60-70k/wk if he has a strong season. In is not that far removed from what you are saying and lets be fair and reasonable here. If Harry has a strong season would you care if he got 65k/wk or equivelant?
