Overall this is a GOOD result - okay in context of the actual game we deserved 3 points, but to go away to a team with 28 points from possible 30 at home and get anything isn't a bad result.

We're all upset cos we wanted to win but let's get things in perspective boys - we played really well and if Torres would've been at all in the game we probably would've won. It bodes well for the next period IMO

I'm not the least bit unhappy with our team performance. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to bring Babel on earlier and take Kuyt off instead of Kewell.

The draw was frustrating, but we're one of only two sides so far this season to leave Eastlands with any points to speak of.

      That's the ****ing game...

Ironic that you should use the term 'hitler' in a post which is trying to tell people what they can and cant discuss.
dear me, here we go again. Don't get all defensive on us mate. Let's remember that we all have our own way of analysing the game. Some like to pick the bones of the tactics. Some like to analyse individual performances. Some like to pick a particular scapegoat.

We played well and Citeh were really holding on at the end but we need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal. Today was one of those days where we could have scored 3 or 4 with a bit of better finishing.

Dunne and Richards played very well though and Torres was well shakled. It was a good performance from our lads at a tricky ground.

If we beat Wigan on Wednesday it'll be 10pts from 12pts over the Christmas period which isn't to bad.

That's it, we'll have taken the same points as Arse and Chelski and one more than the Scum.

I haven't read all of this thread so I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but Micah Richards is a phenomenal young player. He's one of the best centre halfs around at the moment and at such a young age.

He was superb for them today.

Yeah, that's all fine. I dont begrudge the others of their ways of doing it and dont expect it to happen to me either.

you have to give erikson some credit scott, they are a very organised team and a lesser team would of wilted under the pressure we put on them in the last 15.

Problem though, is THEY are ahead of us, not vice versa. We need to MAKE UP points on them. We're literally in a position where there's no real margin for error.

Both him and Dunne were superb, almost single handedly kept us out.

Richards would be a phenominal signing.

Was delighted with the players, they give it everything, kept going till the end and ran themselves into the ground. Taking in isolation :

9 1 0 home record, we went there, hammered them for pretty much the whole second half, restricted them to zero shots on target and should of won comfortably. Ho hum, bad luck, dodgy finishing, whatever.

                              Taking it overall :

We had to win to gain on the leaders and it's a missed chance.

notice the way i mentioned 'some like to pick a scapegoat' - thats you. It's always 'Kuyt is ****e', 'Rafa was wrong', etc. Sometimes, let's face it, the best players have off days, the opposition plays well, lady luck doesn't shine etc. Stop picking out individuals!

I sense you're quite an intelligent lad, but you're certainly not showing it this way.
