It wouldn't matter if there was a Big5, Big6 or Big 15 - it still wouldn't make us any more likely to win the league!
Something to do with the fact that on paer, we have a squad easily capable of comepeting with Arsenal Chelsea and UTD.

I'm not surprised in the least by that.

Bookmakers odds or polls do not reflect true reality.

Just because we are considered third or fourth favourite to win the league does not mean we actually have a realistic chance of triumph.

The fact that we are consistently amongst the favourites without winning the league for 17 years goes to show how few teams are capable of winning the league due to the superior resources of a select few. What it really highlights is the paucity of any real competition in the Premier League.

If it was any other sport and a team had not won the league for 17 years they would not still be amongst the favourites every season.

Arsenal haven't won it yet The African cup of nations (stupid name ) will have a big effect on them and probably Chavski.

The SCUM will always drop points.
          We're still in this

Jeff Stelling said the other day that it is NOT called The African Cup of Nations - he said it is a myth and its called The African Nations Cup.

            Wikipedia says its both.

We're still in it but it will take an absolutely monumental effort and plenty of luck to make it happen. And my fear is that we simply don't have the fire power necessary to do so.

The official website for Ghana 2008 says Jeff Stelling is wrong.

                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Why can't they just call it the African cup? I've never heard of the African cup of clubs so why do they have to make the distinction that it's for nations?

African Cup of Nations will have a bigger effect on Chelsea than Arsenal.

Chelsea will lose Essien, Kalou, Mikel and Drogba.

Arsenal will lose Toure (who is a big loss) and Eboue (who's not).

Chelsea will miss three key players and one fringe player.

Arsenal will miss one key player and one cheating cnut.

UEFA has Euro2008 so why doesn't CAF have Afro2008?

Well the site for CAF (the African equivalent of UEFA) calls it the MTN Africa Cup of Nations.
