Well they've proved they're capable of beating every team in the prem on plent of occasions so surely that means there is a possibility of going on a run and beating them all (or nearly all) in a shorter period of time?

Remember Riise cracker match, Gerrard cracker match, Spud being match winner 3 times if I rememper correctly. We were as far off the top back then, except that one season we finished 2nd.
I think the manc match could have ended both ways, if we'd been a tad more luckier than the mancs were.
In fact although we didn't play well, we still played better than Utd did, we just wasted the final ball and some good chances and they got a stroke of luck/

I bet that would change if Chelsea splurge big money on strikers in the coming weeks

Finishing is the most important part of the game. that is why we fall short every year.

Im not talking about people on here. Thats my point. A more objective football follower would not put us down as serious title challengers.

You mean like the bookies who all had us at shortish prices pretty much on par with the other 'big 3'?

Well my best mate who is an Everton fan thinks we do. Skys poll puts us as 3rd faves. So clearly not 100% of people agree with you.

I wouldn't pay any attention to sky polls. everyone who voted for Liverpool are all LFC supporters.

The Chavs can spend what they want but Drogba is irreplacable imo.

Look i dont want to get into a big thing about it, we can just agree to disagree and for the record I pray to god above that you are right. Its just that with the current crop of players i cant see it happening.

The city game brought that home for me. When FT and SG arent putting the ball in the net there are few others that will compensate for that. We're close, but not close enough

He probably is as an individual but they have been doing well enough without him and another player who fits their system and improves on the strike rate of Kalou or Shevchenko would make them much more of a threat.

Also there is a danger that they were becoming too Drogba-centric offensively and might improve in the long term if he left now (much as United did when RvN left them).

To a delusional LFC supporter, I suppose it is, yes.

There is no doubt that over 95% of the people who voted for LFC, support them. Or are women
