Is it even possible that Ferguson was at least showing signs of progress in this period of time. What is the benchmark? Give him 10 years, 15? For me it is signs of progress and the promise that someday we will challenge. Even if the challenge had lasted into the start of March this year I would have been happy. But it's fcukin gone by New Year once again.
The last two games ended our challenge, two games which we totally dominated in every sense.we couldn`t stick the ball in the net because the other teams chose to play anti-football.A token off how other teams see us.
Our board could only afford Crouch,Kuyt and Voronin while the teams around us spent 50-100 million each.i`ll expect Rafa`s teams to compete when we have the money to buy TOP CLASS players while robbing our opponents of those players as they have done to us in the transfer market.

hard to take this one mate. for the life of me i dont understand the 4-5-1. 10 points behind going into tonight suggests you have to get after it with a sense of urgency. we looked like a team that could of been beat tonight on their counter attack and that simply is not good enough at home. after 45 minutes tonight you could see the game was crying out for riise and peter crouch. if teams are gonna set stall the way wigan did then lets bombard them and be direct. its frustrating and it hurts like a muther****er. hopefully there is some incentive moving forward, but honestly? wigan showed the hunger tonight just like derby did on boxing day and that simply is not good enough

I agree. City really was the writing on the wall - Wigan is the obscene bit of graffiti underneath. City was unfortunate - run of the ball, top players not quite at their best. Tonight was just unsatisfactory.
Disappointment at having the league out of reach again while we're still trying to remember to put the correct year on the date can lead to some over-reaction. I am annoyed tonight but I do know deep down that Rafa is the way forward. Things are looking up - there are sure signs of forward progress. I do think Rafa will win us the league given enough time.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

4 games in 12 days suggests that some players needed a rest.he kept with gerrard and Torres with Kewell drifting in when he could.Kewell played as much as a striker as he did a winger.even Finnan and Mascher made it into the box tonight.I thought we threw the kitchen sink at them and it was just one of them nights.

until rafa is given the money for "World Class" wingers and a partner for Torres expect teams like Wigan to shut up shop and defend for their lives.

Revo mate,we were unlucky tonight, pure and simple.

We were unlucky that Bramble has finally learned to kick a football, I was disappointed with the whole game to be honest, the commentator on my stream kept saying it was a frustrating night for the fans, well it was, I really didn't enjoy the match except for Torres' goal. We never looked like we'd be able to win convincingly and of course we didn't

lucky or unlucky big man, we were still tactically inept tonight and we are having far to many of those days. im not gonna sit here and second guess the manager but tactically, he boggles the mind at times and million pound players are not going to change that. if you cant play 442 at home against a relagation team, no matter who you have in your squad you are never never going to win the league

This is a fans forum, and I agree everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But only 51% have faith?

                    Ridiculous.

I have faith in the manager, his backroom team, and the majority of the players. We lack quality in certain areas, but we'll see where we are at the end of the season shall we.

Thing is Revo,of all the critism i see on here most of it sticks to the easy targets. If kuyt had started he`d be public enemy NO.1.

I`m worried that our captain fantastic is not in form and that`s rubbing off on the players aroung him. He`s currently having his fair share of bad spells in games.
Torres is also capable of bad touches, runs in the wrong direction or simply running into brick walls. But they are untouchables in this or any other site.

Rafa gave them a job to do tonight and the team failed, not through manager ineptitude but from player malfunction.

There was one stage in the 2nd half, not near the time of their goal, when they had 81% possession for a 5 minute spell. That's a hell of a lot even for a short space of time.

We can spend the whole game dominating teams all we want but the thing is Johnny, we've dropped 2 points today in a game that you say we dominated in the 2nd half, why didn't we win then?

25% have no faith in him after we failed to win our 2nd game in a row.ask them after we win three in a row and it would be back down to the 5% who have alwys had doubts.

They had 81% off the possession for 5% off the game.we didn`t win because the ball would`nt fall when we needed it.We were unlucky mate,it happens.

arguably the worst defender in the league(bramble) and we play 1 up top?
