If the yanks get rid of rafa and bring mourinho in I have stated myself (and i mean it, its not a kneejerk reaction) that I will not spend one more penny on the club while he is manager and they are chairman.

It seems perfectly possible to me that Mourinho is feigning interest in the LFC job in order to keep his profile high, to ferret out other job offers and, as a desirable side-effect from his point of view, to unsettle Rafa. It's been reported that his family might not be so keen to settle in the North-West (for obvious reasons ) so it's not cast-iron he would take the job even if financial and management issues were resolved to his liking.

Exactly. We can't afford him anyway, hence why Klinsman is in the frame.

I may be drawing a long straw but would the yanks see removing Rafa, and replacing him with a yes man, then selling our best assets eg Torres, Alonso, Reina, etc and replacing with strong enough talent to finish mid table until the stadium is complete?

They could take a fair bit of cream now and then sell for a massive profit when the stadium is complete.

I agree with you. Jose pissed me off with his antics but I think the way he handled the media and creating these rivalries with other managers, all but helped his team achieve greater success, because it was an us against them mentality.

But on pure tactical and football terms, he was outsmarted and outwitted by Rafa. We played the better football and Rafa is a true man of the people.

On those one-off matches, yes Rafa outwitted him.

But very few Premiership managers are in Rafa's class tactically, so i doubt Mourinho would have much of a problem most of the time.

If he can beat the 'other' 15 teams, aside from the mancs, arsenal, spurs, and chelsea, we'd win the title.

As I've already explained, by not lining their pockets - ie not purchasing LFC merchandise (replica kits, and I buy everyone that comes out, sometimes more than one of each if I want different names on them), or attending home matches. Will watch the games on Sky and support the team from home instead, or try to get to more away matches instead.

I can't show my support for a man who deliberately lied about the Reading ambulance crew when Cech got injured. The bloke is a total and utter scum bag of the highest proportions.
