But if the refinancing involves securing the debt against the assets of Liverpool FC, surely this would have to pass the Liverpool FC board?Originally posted by Jimthered View PostWhat Moores or Parry say , think ,or do, is by and large irrelevant. The decisions are made by Kop Football of which the 4 shareholders are Hicks , Gillet and their sons.
The only thing Moores and Parry can do is what they are told to do by the owners, if they dont like it then they know where the door is.
I imagine that if they are passing information to the press , then they will probably be gone from Anfield long before the Americans are.
Kop Football does not own Liverpool's assets. It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

McManaman agreesOriginally posted by disco View PostI’m with you mate, I think it is significant that Parry hasn’t spoken about this.
Putting it a different way, if Parry came out and said straight that the club/Americans hasn’t been approached or will not be considering any bids then we could put this to bed.

I'm confused now, then what did Kop Football buy ? Kop Football was the holding company set up by G&H to purchase the club .Last edited by Jimthered; 21-01-08, 08:10 PM."I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence."

Well, I've considered the option - probably even mentioned it - that DIC are influencing RBS's actions so totally agree with that.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostTotally disagree. RBS are about making money. They would have a product. There are allegedly potential buyers willing to part with serious money. If G&H fail they won't cry. You underestimate RBS Darren. They will auction us off and walk away with money. DIC will ensure they are well looked after.
But in the absense of a confirmed buyer I don't think banks would take the risk.
DIC could easily offer less than they're owed knowing that alternatively they would have to chase Hicks and Gillet or be stuck with a club they don't want to run, which could take a year to sell to a new buyer (other than DIC)
Ultimately all speculation though

Your employers are doomed if you speculate (in a financial sense) like that.Originally posted by disco View PostWell, I've considered the option - probably even mentioned it - that DIC are influencing RBS's actions so totally agree with that.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Aye it is, doesn't mean they aren't talking about their own financial matters with regards to the same business.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostExactly. The concept of DIC coming to London to talk to the RBS about the financing that exists with another client is frankly ridiculous.
