The quotes from the DIC people seem to indicate that the price is agreed with Hicks, and that it's just the formal offer that is to be sent to him.... or?
“The terms of the offer, which will be made to Tom Hicks, have been agreed and DIC are hopeful they will be finally be able to invest in Liverpool.
“The offer is now being written up and it should be only a matter of time before it is delivered to Hicks.”
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
What’s the appeal of DIC – would they definitely finance the stadium with their own money? If not, it’s no different. If so, is it actually MUCH different? There would still be ‘interest payments’ in the guise of DIC expecting a return from their investments.
I prefer the idea, but think I'd want to see their proposal

I read it as DIC have agreed internally what offer will made, not that the price is agreed with Hicks. But I really hope your interpretation is the right one.
i really hope that hicks leaves town and goes back to america. In reality he is such a stubborn ******* that he might choose not to unless DIC come up with a significantly large bid which they wont because they are not stupid.
Nobody want to overpay for assets - especially top business people.

Not sure if they mean the terms they're willing to offer or the terms that have been agreed between Hicks and them.
The interesting part is why Hick's shares? Why not Gilletts aswell? Why not Gilletts 50% instead of Hicks? They must of had some sort of info that makes it worth putting a bid in for Hicks lot
If I was hicks, and trying to force the price up and the speed of completion, I would also be saying I wasn't interested in selling my shares and that a loan deal was about to be signed off...

Good point!

Well, there is more or less no chance that the club itself will be in any danger. DIC usually invest much money in their projects to make them great and then sell them on with a profit. They can also afford to finance some excellent signings until the stadium is ready and that is the big difference.

If DIC do indeed make an imminent bid, it's fantastic news because it really highlights their desire to get involved. They will be aware of this loan refinancing deal and how soon they'd need to act and if the report is true, they're about to react.
The speed in which they're (allegedly) taking action is very promising.

I'd imagine that with the security that DIC could offer, they'd be able to borrow the amount that is required, and on much better terms than the Americans, and our interest payments would be less as a result? Basically with DIC it's a lower risk. I dont think anyone expects them to pay out of their own pockets for the stadium. I remember reading that DIC had lined up three banks to borrow from to fund the purchase of the club, I dont think they were going to pay out of their own purse. But right now, almost anyone would make a better owner than the two clowns we have.

Yes, I see that interpretation too.

I think the 'agreed' part means DIC themselves have agreed what their offer will be, it doesnt refer to Hicks having agreed to it. That's my understanding at least.

Maybe Gillett, on the sly, invited DIC to make a bid for Hick's shares. Maybe they're both plotting the cowboy's downfall?
Really do not see how you can say that. If we are going to compete in this league, and I mean COMPETE, we need a big shiny new stadium AND a very, very good team. That means money and these are struggling to find a bank to work with and in the process completely lost their goodwill and some.
TBH the whole thing has been completely sureal for me know. I am starting to think the whole has been orchestrated. You could make a pretty interesting movie about this stadium to be fair.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Had to read it twice but that was also my understanding.
