All of this really tells me that the supporters should start putting pressure on Gillet now, and not Hicks... If we can get DIC to buy out Hicks via Gillet's first option clause on his shares, then that would be the most likely at the moment. We really need to get Gillet to go for that option, rather than the refinancing of the loan. I know that DIC have som better options, some sort of bonus to Gillet, however I think supporter pressure on him would be good.

To bad we don't have a game at the moment to protest and put pressure, now that the decision is going to be taken...

Rather one Yank than two - and certainly rather a quiet Yank than a loud, non-diplomatic liar with a bad rep...

If there is an option that says that they can buy out the other ones shares then surely the price for the shares will also already been set.

That means that it's totally up to Gillett if DIC want to finance him and nothing Hicks really can do about it.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

They could have waited and refused them yes, but how this all panned out in the press, I think they panicked. Moores was also probably wrecked (his health wasn't the best if I recall) by all this saga.
DIC pulled out because MOORES & PARRY did'nt even have the decency to answer their calls as to what the situation was. You know what it's like, trying to get hold of someone & they don't answer, ****IN ANNOYING.

Yeah, and it's not the first time Parry's had his phone switched off either.

I think our club is now at the biggest crossroads in its history. We really need to show on Monday that we want rid of this American cancer currently infecting our club.

Yes, it's the Glazer example that worries me; they were determined to buy the club and so rode out the storm. Hicks might be inclined to do likewise. That means if protests of the likes we'll hopefully see on Monday don't work, then there's only one way to force them out - that's by hitting in the pocket by boycotting matches and merchandise. Easier said than done I know.

If only DIC had kept their toys in their pram and made a slight higher offer a year ago

I think if DIC come in it won't only be for Hick's half, they'll want the lot.

OK , so the only thing that will worry him is monetary loss. How can we hit his pocket??

Not just thinking about LFC here, there must be literally millions of people around the world who dislike/detest/wanttogetmutha****inrevengeon Hicks.

A world wide boycott of all his businesses ??

Get his income dropping and the cunt will take notice

According to what I have gathered from recent articles, Gillet and Hicks each have a clause where the other part have first option on their shares. In other words, they can buy out eachother through this option. I don't know however if there is a price mentioned, but I would doubt that. So basically it is a security option for both, so that they won't be sold out to a third party and put in trouble at the board...

This means that the most viable way for DIC to get in, is to get Gillet to use his option, which again could explain the delay in signing the loan extension... DIC is perhaps putting pressure on Gillet in this way...

Would boycotting work? Most of the tickers are presold anyway. Can you see 43,000 people giving up that money to form part of a protest?

****ing great idea, and one I'd love if we could pull off.

Nope. I can't even see 5,000 fans giving up going to the match, but if there was two, three games on the bounce where there where up 5-10k tickets went unsold, I think that would be enough to make him ponder. Desperate times, call for desperate measures. I for one am willing to boycott for the good of the club if it comes to that. I hope it doesn't, but I fear it may be the only way to get the message across to this cunt in a way where he'll be forced to listen.
