Thanjk you.

I said something similar a couple of days ago. In the interview after the Luton FA Cup game he was totally relaxed and smiling! Smug as **** in fact. It was palpable.
So did i.I thought it was because peace had broken out between him and G+H though. He did look happier.
He looked smug because he knows the cowboys r gone and a new board that will back him to the hilt is coming in
Makes sense. Any Manager would have already walked given the actions of G&H, but Rafa knows something. I think he has been told to sit tight and wait for this to happen and he will be safe and 1000% backed under the new owners.
TBH I am at the point that I just want G&H ot of teh club period. I think that if DIC target Gillett and get him to sell his 50% Hicks will have no choice but to sell. Cannot see him wanting a 50 50 partnership with DIC.

I am of the opposite view. IMO all the "we will not sell" propaganda is just part of the negotiation process. Hicks wants out but he wants to make as much as he can off DIC. Gillett might want to be part of the future but in the end he will walk too.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24
Yeah but Bascombe also said rafa 'will be sacked' within a few days of that article.
And i truly believe if it wasn't for the way the fans reacted,he would of been.

'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'
While DIC sources say it is 'too close to call' whether their current bid will be accepted, the group believes the Americans will sell eventually and DIC will continue to pursue their interest in the club even if the refinancing package is approved. Observer
This is surely the most significant part of the story. If Bill and Ben manage to get the re-financing (and there is no reason to suspect they won't) will it de-value the club because there's debt against it, or will it increase the value because it is more financially secure? Lets just hope that DIC are in it for the long haul as the Observer are suggesting.
BBC reporting that last time hicks and gillette were in a liverpool "a close family member of hick's" was overheard as saying "we can't wait to get rid of the club, we've had enough"

The quote above was heard last year in the boardroom on a match day.
Other bits
DIC unlikely to pay more than £300m. They wont overpay. More money to then invest in club and players.
Rafa has utter contempt for Hicks - no surprise there!
Foster Gillette not been seen at Anfield for over 2 weeks
RBS and Wachovia may try to convince Hicks and Gilllette to do the deal with DIC rather than refinance and then do something later.
DIC will not want to be seen giving anything away as this can affect future investments they make (non Liverpool related) and also being given over inflated fees in the transfer market.
It is highly likely that the deal will happen - but will take a few weeks.
