That article makes for bad reading. They think they can get the money now for when the stadium is built but leave the new owners still needing to build the stadium?

The honest truth is that the rot started in when clubs started floating on the stock exchange, and Sky came along with their football is entertainment/business mantra.Originally posted by Jimthered View PostTrue, many here are creaming thier pants over the prospect. Truth is, whoever buys the club will be buying it in order to make a return on thier investment.
The "Liverpool way" is gone, its the "owners way" now.
For a couple of hours a week, sometimes twice, I actually don't hate football, because when a Liverpool game isn't on I'm finding I just can't be arsed with it anymore.
And yet I'm on this bloody website.....go figure.I hate Polanski

Agree with that 100 per cent , I have little time for the drama really, but cant keep away from this subject.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostThe honest truth is that the rot started in when clubs started floating on the stock exchange, and Sky came along with their football is entertainment/business mantra.

The times article doesen't look good if it is anything to go after... seems like the two parties are far from eachother unfortunatly. It however does not bring anything new to table as far as I can see, it is the same quotes and same info, just written in a more direct way by saying that they have rejected the initial informal bid...
I am however still waiting for something concrete saying it has gone one way or the other...
Getting pretty tired of this whole saga!!!

If someone said to me, right now, I can guarantee DIC will buy LFC and make them succesful but they wanted their own manager I would say fine, thank you very much.
Anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Pointless having a brilliant manager if we are in the conference, skint eh.
Anyway, thats obviously a completely unrealistic situation cos those YANK CUNTS ARENT GONNA SELL US!! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!

If he does go I would prefer it to be for the right reasons, not because Hicks wants him out of the door for standing up to him. Your natural loyalty starts to kick in - you can think what you like of your family but when someone else criticises them you close ranks.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostNot the case mate.
I think that scepticism is still prevalent, myself included.
It's just not the most important issue re our club at this time.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

The spirit starts to die after a bit with everything that is going on, not just with us but the whole sport. Filthy lucre eats away at it. Then again, players went out on the pitch for a pittance in the old days so I suppose it is not suprising it has gone completely the other way.
