Surely there is no long term future for them at a club where they are despised by the fans.

They should take the money and run while they have the chance but no doubt they will hold out for as long as they can to maximise their profit.

If this is correct then Rashid is right about one thing; It's only a matter of time. G&H can't hold on the LFC if they can't afford to buy decent players who will get us in CL. With City and others coming up through the ranks, heavy squad investment is required to stay in top 4. Nobody at the table are idiots. They all know this. Therefor the logical outcome will be a sale. Now or in the summer - soon.

I just cant see how these guys are going to make any money whilst keeping us competitive.

The stadium wont be finished for another 3 years and until then the team will probably need a net investment of around £20 - £30m per season to keep up with united, chelsea and arsenal. That's almost twice our season's profits (including a decent run in the Champions league)

hicks and gillett shouldnt wait on our home grown talent to take the team to the next level as it wont happen for a while. They will have to fund the purchases for the team and pay the interest on the loans.

Until then we wont be able to compete with teams like man city, newcastle and everton let alone the arsenal's of this world.

I really dont think they have thought this through. What's the point of having a 70k seater stadium when we're mid-table. How many corporate boxes will they sell at £50k when they cant qualify for the uefa cup.
