okay well lets look at it 2 ways

      1. if dic don't get involved, at least the immediate future with the yanks could be sorted

      2. if dic do get involved, as many have already said it really doesn't matter if they get this deal or not, they'll still sell

(i'm inclined to go with option 2 because I don't think the yanks have the bollocks to go the ditance with us and build a stadium, just trying to talk up a decent deal for themselves)

If the stadium building starts because G&H have the money then the summer will be too late. The only way DIC will get the club is through bidding silly money. The only other solution is the fans convincing G&H to go. Whilst the City is awash with talk that G&H are struggling (and that's why this new 'leak' about being hopeful has come out) I fully expect them to raise the money somehow. If DIC really are interested them they have to strike soon with a big big offer. £300-350million is not enough to even get Hicks interested.

The one possible light on the horizon is DIC buying Gilletts share. If I were a betting man that is where I'd put my money.

The story changes every hour every day. I'm not concerned. All I know for certain is that Hicks is a c*nt and will eventually be driven out of our club.

now there's the key imo, 'starts', all that loan does it let them start, so that's 50mil i believe, given that the stadium is meant to run 250-300 mil, where exactly are they going to get another 250 odd mil from?

Am I right in thinking Hicks is an investor and this is a good way of making a quick buck?

the fact that the story changes is because nobody knows **** all and read into it all too too much.

This is very true and I've mentioned this to someone else on est1892. This issue is yet to be addressed. However a building in progress is potential assets to draw upon. The bottom line is more borrowing. We will eventually be loaded with loans totalling £600million plus.

m,ate naming rights isn't going to cover that, not a chance, i'm sure there will be some funds coming in from that tho, but basically we're getting loaded with 600mil debt if not more

exactly mate, if the 450mil stadium scared them off, it says to me that they don't have the cash, and we're screwed whatever happens if we stay with them

I think the key thing for us is that now we know pretty much for certain that DIC are trying to take over the club, and the fans are united as a whole in wanting Hicks (and Gillett) out.

They cannot and will not survive.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                                --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have been speaking to my contact tonight.

As stated, the banks have agreed the loan deal already with Hicks, and apparently the recent financial turmoil does not affect this. I can't understand why myself, but my contact hadn't time to explain it all. Apparently Wachovia are 100% in favour

I was most wanting to ask about the relations between Hicks and Gillet. What was said above seems correct... despite Hicks being the mouthpiece, Gillet and he are tight.

DIC have been in consultations behind the scenes for weeks... but they were actually approached by senior people.

But now there is indirect contact between the Americans and DIC.

There appears to be several 'obstacles'... not least the personal payment to Hicks/Gillet, which DIC are very opposed to do. But apparently certain other conditions need to be met, and at this stage a deal is far from certain.

I wanted to ask whether the announcement by Hicks that they had their finance deal in place makes a buyout by DIC more... or less likely, but he didn't have much time. Will try and talk to him again before the end of the week.

Hope this helps... guess it doesn't really.
                                Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:
