Too many figures being banded around which don't make sense.

The Echo have reported last week that it would take £500m to get Hicks and Gillette interested. That would cover players, assets, creditors, loans. The Observer said £300 million. The BBC have said £350 million.

Now what can be assumed by the amount of pres coverage and information is that DIC are interested (no surprise) and Kop Football LTD have had some negotiations, just preliminary like ballpark figures.

Hicks is playing hardball and by announcing that he is confident (even though the City isn't) of refinancing the club, Hicks is giving the message to DIC that buy up quick. Hicks is hoping for a panic buy from DIC, something these shrewd businessmen won't do.

And this money will be borrowed against potential future earnings in a new stadium meaning even with a 70k stadium we will still have major financial restrictions!!
      Dare we believe

Foster Gillette hasn't been coming to the last couple of matches. That could mean something. Either he is a pussyhole or something is happening.

If i was the bank i would be having second thoughts about lending them cunts the money after seeing the groundswell of opinion against them......although the fact that DIC will not need the banks will surely be in the cunts favour?

They don't have the cash needed to service this loan let alone the extra money needed for the stadium. Its just a matter of time before they sell and all the refinance does is it gives them more time to find the best deal.

Without the refinance DIC held all the cards as G&H would have to do a deal before the RBS loan had to be returned otherwise they'd have lost the club to the bank and DIC would have got themselves a bargain. If the refinance goes ahead then although i don't think they have the cash to service the loan over the long-term they will manage to keep up the repayments for a while and thus will not be pressured into doing a deal with DIC that doesn't suite them because of a fear of losing the club to the bank. However the quicker they do the deal the better for G&H as they're not going to want to dip into there own pockets too much for these repayments and like i said above they won't be able to keep these repayments up and eventually could be back in the position where they are facing a deadline to do a deal.

Just think...£600m worth of debt by the time we get in to the stadium.

The club taking out the loan to pay for the stadium is one thing but for the club to be taking out the loans to pay for their shares is another. Especially when they said the the club had been purchased with no debt against it!!

From a financial reporter on 5Live:

'RBS can say no to a new finance package presented by G&H as RBS have good knowledge that DIC have enough money to takeover Liverpool and cover all its creditors and debts.'

                            Some optimism.

Or we end up like Leeds United and get shafted by the administrators because of these ludicrous plans to load the club with un-servicable levels of debt.
