Where has all this suddenly come from that we the fans expected Hicks and Gillett to come in and give us a new stadium for nothing as we are opposed to the debt being placed on the club.

I have always expected whoever came in to take a loan out against the club to pay for the new stadium. What I (and most others) are against it them putting the money they used to buy the club as a club debt.

This is the second source I've seen today reporting this Is the press begining to turn on us the fans or have Hicks and Gillett been feeding them something?

As Directors of the company, Moores and Parry have probably got voting rights and could in theory veto a deal. However, it depends on the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company as to how much power, if any, they have. I would imagine that the Co-Chairmen (Tom Hicks Snr and George Gillett) and other Directors (Tom Hicks Jnr and Foster Gillett) could out-vote Moores and Parry and remove them as Directors if necessary.

So whatever they announce tommorrow as far as the debt go's means nothing, i wonder if Parry & Moores will be at the big Hicks extravaganza.

Hicks said 2 weeks ago that the credit crunch had not affected their plans for Liverpool - he was lying obviously, but he does that.

They were obviously lying when they said they thought Rafa was a terrific manager and they were fully behind him - whilst simultaneously talking to klinsman.

The Americans taking on the club a yr ago with a plan to then spend 300 million on a stadium have to change their buisness plan due to the credit crunch and an increase in building materials prices.
And If Rafa hadn`t ****ed about in the CL leaving us with 3 must win games and then mouthing off in the press thus driving a wedge between himself and G+H then they would have had no need to talk to Klinsmann.Hicks has since said that they thought Rafa was about to leave but now is all is good between himself and Rafa and they will back him(Skertl) .
You can choose to look at the facts(Credit crunch and Building costs) or you can simply say G+H are liars.I still wait for proof they are liars.

Without sounding patronizing, I strongly recommend that you read up about Hicks and what he's done with his other 'Sporting Franchises' and how true he's been to the claims that he made to them at the time that he brought them. I could copy and paste 100s of articles. Hicks had 'party lines' which he used to make him and his plan seem like the most desirable buyer, unfortunately for us Moores was niave enough to but into it. He's since gone back on the amount of money he promised and the size of the stadium he promised (this isn't the first time he's done this, he delayed the building of the Corinthians stadium for three years, and it still hasn't been built and niether has the youth academy that he promised).

Hicks, and he's the problem, rather than Gillett, had no interest or connection in the club until Gillett recruited him to come on board. There's no sentiment in his involvement with the club. He's here to bleed us dry. If they manage to refinance, we'll be no better off than we were under Moores. FACT.

Well atleast your able to put facts on the table to back up your arguement.
But basically your saying he`s done it before so he`ll do it again.
Did he buy Corinthians at a time of recession when building prices are at a premium.Do you think that when they announce the new stadium plans next week they`ll then pospone building by three yrs therefore losing important revenue needed to pay back the loans?
