While i agree that Crouch should be starting more, there maybe more to it than we are privy too.
In November/December we thought that our form had dropped off, not aware of what was happening in the background.
Same thing happened with Pennant, with people saying he has gone ****e again, not knowing he was playing with a ****ed foot for months.

Another issue on this is to probably stop the Kuyt bashing for now. We all know he is cack and not LFC quality, but he will be a Liverpool player until the end of the season at least. Until then i will support who ever is on the pitch.

Who gives two ****s what happened before? Last time i checked, the game is played over 90 minutes. A striker's job is to score. Nobody gives a **** if he has a stinker, but then pops up with the winner.

I think it was simply relief at finally scoring a goal against one of the poorest sides in the premiership. I didn't see it as particulary warm, more of 'thank f*ck you scored because we've been rubbish so far'.

Crouch gets so few games because in Rafa's formations this season, he has employed 1 upfront and 1 behind him. Normally its Torres upfront with Kuyt or Voronin behind him. Today it was Crouch upfront and Torres behind him.

Poor movement leads to less chances created for him to score. Poor linkup play leads to less goals created by him. You're contradicting yourself. His performance was poor for most of the game whether you agree or not.

It's hardly surprising Crouchie's confidence & form has suffered when's he had no run of games to play is it?

When Rafa persisted with Crouchie when he 1st arrived, it was completely different from the situation with Kuyt for 2 reasons- firstly there were pretty much no other options up top & secondly everyone could see what he was offering to the team in lieu of goals in terms of hold up play, distribution & asssists. Kuyt has offered none of those this season at all.

Mate, I loved Kuyt last year & it is obvious (& understandable) that losing his Pa has had a really big affect on him, but it has been farcical to persist with him since about november.

That's not contradicting myself.

All i've said is i dont give a jot about 'movement, linkup play' etc, if the striker in question is scoring goals. That's all i'm fussed about where strikers are concerned. Movement and linkup play isnt remotely important to me, if Crouch scores goals. And he does.
