Pennant was cack. Not good enough simple as. I could work my socks off on the right for 90mins if given the chance but that doesn't mean I would be any use. Only Finnan managed to swing in a couple of good crosses.
    Dare we believe

I think, if Pennant is going to play then Crouch has to play, he doesn't seem to be able to find Kuyt or Bellamy.

Aurelio should only play on the left midfield or as a wingback in a 3-5-2 formation.

Gerrard should play on the right if Crouch is not playing or if we are not playing 3-5-2.

I think 3-5-2 with Kuyt and Bellamy up top is THE way to get our best eleven on the pitch:

      Pepe
      Agger, Carra, Sami
      Finnan, Alonso,Gerrard,Sissoko,Aurelio
      Bellamy, Kuyt.
rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.

      Goals 2006/7 (CS, PL, CL)
1: Agger, Bellamy, Fowler, Alonso, Garcia
      2: Gonzalez, Kuyt, Riise
      5: Crouch

Only Stevie can play out there and maybe Kuyt. Any left side player will come in field and against the Chav's that would be playing inot their hands.

Would of like to see SPeedy on today with both wings trying to pull the chav's defence out wide.

          Great performance IMO.
pennant **** himself as soon as ashley offered him the outside and after that he was poor.

i'd run around all day for liverpool, but we need a bit more than that.
for all the ball he got i can think of 1 decent cross- in the 87th minute for crouch

why not play 3-5-2 like we did against newcastle away last year?

that way stevie is in the middle and Sami can also play too?

FFS, ridiculous comments. Why making Pennant as the scapegoat for this game. Thought he was pretty good but obviously his final ball wasn't 100% right today. He will get better undoubtedly. He was very good against PSV during the week and our forward play will improve as the players get more games under their belt. We need to be patient guys, United has a settled side this season (albeit a bit thin on personel), so wouldn't lose much sleep after 4 matches.

Fredo, i thought Pennant was abysmal against PSV too.

He's like a fish out of water.

Just goes to show how people view performances differently, that's the only reason I can think of for some of Rafa's decisions recently.

Well his cross for Crouch' header right at the end looked pretty decent to me.

Why is everyone wants to get on someones back? Would you all have targete Pennant if we won?

I wouldn't have targetted him but if there was a thread (such as this) posted saying how he was man of the match then I would have felt it necessary to give my opposing point of view.
He did put one decent cross in, too little too late.

u must have known now that bellamy and pennant are getting unfair sticks from our own fans.

He also made one great pass to Stevie in the first half, with Stevie opting to shoot instead of passing to Bellers or Kuyt. That should also have resulted in a goal. Not bad providing two goalscoring opportunities in a match like that isn't it ?
