Was still a good hit from Dirk though, and as he hit it into the ground may have done the keeper anyway.I'll be honest I still can't see it, I'm going for a deflection free Kuyt goal!!Originally posted by Harveybirdman View Postthere was definitely a deflection....it didnt deviate of its original line, but it added a bit of pace, and made the ball skid of the turf.

As I've said before, it's in the League games and to a certain extent cup matches that most of the players are letting him down. Not only that, the players bar a select few seem to respond to only the big big matches like tonight where there is massive vocal support.Originally posted by Gazmo1 View PostSo lads, a very solid result. So all the ****ing bollocks speculation about Rafa losing the dressing room blah blah blah.
is that still true?
Or should Rafa just stick to his best 11 and go for the throat everytime, every game?
It seems to me that those other players just can't seem to respond to playing for this club on a weekly basis. They must have it there because they pull it out of the bag when they really need to like tonight. This is what upsets me more than anything with team at the moment.
Someone posted the other night that there's only few players on the pitch that seem to have the mentality and professionalism to play for this club, week in week out. And that's Reina, Mascherano and Torres. I personally would stick Gerrard and Carragher up there aswell.
It's so damn frustrating because everyone played well tonight, every single one of them. Why the rest of them don't play like that in each game I don't know. It hard to fathom it really is.
I love my team, no matter what state they're in I'll follow them through thick and thin. They're my life and soul and tonight gave me enough heart to know that we'll be ok.
