if it's an invite for up to 3months single/double entry then you will not need any proof of accommodation or tickets.. This type of invite is arranged through an accredited company here and a telex with the invite number is sent directly to the Embassy. All that is needed is the number of the invite.

Best contact them to find out what is what regarding the invite..But 18 pounds is a good price for an official invite. (I've paid much more)

Right as regards Hostels.. I know that these are now available here in places, but I'll be honest I wouldn't stay in one.. Better off with a cheap hotel.. I can have a look at a few in the centre of Moscow and get back to you with some ideas (let me know what sort of budget your willing to spend?)
    Cheers for that Ray.

We have already booked the Napoleon Hostel for the accomadation, looked alright on the website we went through and had good reveiws.

Though i did feel a bit strange watching the film Hostel last night.

It only takes one for a lot of people to get involved. It being in moscow just adds a greater risk. If the final was at wembely there would still be violence. Its not like when we go there or they come here because someone is out numbered. In moscow it will be an even split of thousands. The police wont be everywhere. It'd be folly to believe there would be no trouble.

There wasnt any real trouble in Cardiff the couple of times we played them there, the airports after the game would worry me though, especially if it was won controversially either way.

The club wont go to seasos first, they have not changed the policy from last year.

I hope they don't but surely they won't want the same uproar as last season?

I'm sure the same discussion was brought up last year.. Not going to Athens if the Mancs get to the final blah blah.

Boys, sit tight and see the results first and then worry about who's in the final later....
They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

              POTENTIAL CL FINAL SELLING DETAILS
              Liverpoolfc.tv 17 April 2008
Liverpool FC have released the following selling details for our potential Champions League final.
              Potential UEFA Champions League Final
              Luzhniki Stadium Moscow
Wednesday 21st May 2008 Kick Off 22.45 hrs (local time)

UEFA has informed the semi finalists that due to all supporters travelling to Moscow having to be in possession of a valid visa the Clubs have been instructed to announce the selling arrangements in advance of their team possibly reaching the Champions League Final. The reason for the instruction is to assist in allowing as much time as possible for the processing of visas, as at least one British Club will be involved in the Final match.

In the event of reaching the Final we have been advised that we will receive an allocation of approximately 21000 tickets which will include 50 disabled (wheelchair) and 50 personal assistants tickets.

Within the allocation approximately 4% of the tickets are priced at £167, 49% are priced at £117, 47% are priced at £67. The combined price for a disabled and a personal assistant's ticket will be £67.

              Priority Rights Holders (Ex Shareholders)

The allocation and selling arrangements for ALL Priority Rights Holders will be as follows,

              On holding
              1 Priority Right - 1 (one) ticket
              2 Priority Rights - 2 (two) tickets
              3 Priority Rights - 3 (three) tickets
              4 Priority Rights - 4 (four) tickets

The tickets available will be priced at £167, £117 or £67 and are offered AS AVAILABLE at the time of purchase.

The Ticket Office will only process applications by post or email.

Priority Rights Holders should make immediate application using our CL Final Postal Application Form to the Ticket Office detailing the ticket price in order of preference and a daytime telephone number. Cheques should be made payable to Liverpool Football Club and endorsed not to exceed the maximum value of the highest priced ticket allowed under the allocation. The cheque will be completed by the Club to the actual value of the tickets available. Every effort will be made to supply the ticket(s) to the value requested but this cannot be guaranteed. Please also see foot of page for details of postal applications.

Applications must clearly state that the application is from a Priority Rights Holder and MUST give the Priority Rights Certificate Number.

In addition to the above the application must clearly give name and address and passport number. Applications from Priority Rights Holders that are entitled to more than one ticket must provide clearly the names, addresses and passport numbers of all the people intending to travel to the Final. Applications which do not provide this information will NOT be processed.

Applications from Priority Rights Holders MUST be received by Wednesday 23rd April 2008.

              Corporate Members

The Corporate Sales Department will contact all their Members to advise them on their ticket allocation.

              Disabled (Wheelchair) and Personal Assistant

The ticket office will contact all wheelchair season ticket holders that qualify under the criteria.

Season Ticket Holders and Fan Card Holders

The allocation of tickets will be based on the data held on the Ticket Office computer system following the two quarter final matches against Arsenal.

Tickets available will be priced at £117, £67 AS AVAILABLE at the time of purchase.

Season Ticket Holders and Fan Card Holders who have supplied their Fan Card details to the Ticket Office to prove they have purchased tickets for a combination of a minimum of SIX home and away matches (Excluding the Toulouse qualifiers) for this seasons UEFA Champions League will qualify for one ticket per qualifying Fan Card.

The Ticket Office will only process applications by post or email.

Applications must clearly state name, address, Fan Card number and passport number.

Qualifying Season Ticket Holders and Fan Card Holders should make immediate application to the Ticket Office using our CL Final Postal Application Form detailing the ticket price in order of preference and a daytime telephone number. The cheque will be completed by the Club to the actual value of the tickets available. Every effort will be made to supply the ticket(s) to the value requested but this cannot be guaranteed.

Supporters wishing to sit together should send in their applications together and every effort will be made to fulfil the requests but this cannot be guaranteed. Consideration to these requests can only be given from the applications that have attended at least 6 matches. Any mixed applications i.e. applicants with 6 matches applying with applicants who have attended less than 6 matches will NOT be processed together.

Applications from qualifying Season Ticket and Fan Card Holders MUST be received by Wednesday 23rd April 2008.

Please also see foot of page for details of postal applications.

Following these allocations of tickets the remaining balance will be offered to Season Ticket Holders who have supplied their Fan Card details to the Ticket Office to prove they have purchased tickets for a combination of a minimum of FIVE home and away matches (Excluding the Toulouse qualifiers) for this seasons UEFA Champions League may qualify for one ticket per qualifying Fan Card.

We anticipate that these Season Ticket Holders will have just over an 80% chance in being allocated a ticket. In the event of the number of applications exceeding the balance of tickets a ballot will be held to determine the successful applicants.

The Ticket Office will only process applications by post or email.

Applications must clearly state name, address, Fan Card number and passport number.

Season Ticket Holders who have purchased the FIVE match tickets required should make an application to the Ticket Office using our CL Final Postal Application Form detailing the ticket price in order of preference and a daytime telephone number. Postal Applications

Please Note that due to previous problems encountered through the postal system it is HIGHLY recommended that tickets are collected from the Ticket Office.

Tickets will only be posted if an application clearly states that an additional charge can be made to cover the cost of special delivery.

All tickets posted are accepted to be at the applicants' risk.

Liverpool FC will not take any responsibility for any financial losses due to lost, destroyed or damaged tickets. Nor will Liverpool FC take responsibility for any financial losses due to tickets being stolen, lost or delayed by the Post Office.

Tickets are STRICTLY non-transferable. Liverpool FC has to provide details to UEFA on all tickets issued ie. Names and addresses of applicants along with their passport details which will correspond to the seat details on the tickets issued. Visas will be issued on this information.

Once an application has been received and processed by the ticket office no alterations to personal details can be made or refunds given.

Details on how visa applicants will be dealt with will be announced as soon as UEFA has furnished the Clubs with these details.

Under NO circumstances will UEFA arrange duplicate tickets.

All tickets are issued under UEFA Champions League Final 2008 Ticketing Terms and Conditions copies of which are displayed in the Ticket Office Information Board and will be on www.liverpoolfc.tv soon.

So you have to have an away match on your FC to get a ticket.

Anyone reckon there will be any left for 5 credits? I only have the homes.

That's fecked up - the Chelsea game is sold out, so they KNOW who has purchased a ticket for it, they KNOW who will have the Semi final recorded on their fancard so why cant it count?

I think, even if they did count Chelsea, they would just have said 7 credits needed, so everyone would still need an away credit to get a ticket.

Pissed off, 'cos when I first read it I thought 6 credits inc. Chelsea was the requirement. Then I read closely and realised I have very little chance even with 6 credits.

Basically been arranged like this to placate the season ticket holders.

I wouldnt mind so much if there was any proper chance of GETTING a ticket for a european away, but they're now sold based on the previous season's away attendance, so either way, you're fecked.

I wonder how many of those on the first tier of criteria eligibility will actually take a ticket. I suspect nearly all will take a ticket but plenty will sell it on for a huge amount and wont even go. I doubt they'll be cross-referencing names on tickets against passports at the ground.

I think Marseille and Besiktas went to all-FC holders but as I couldn't go I didn't buy a ticket.

Remember all the empty places in the Reds section at Porto?

Travel prices are sky-high, so that may put a lot off. Thomas Cook are saying £850 for a day trip and £1200 for a one-nighter. Officially!

Marseille defo did, as I was so tempted but couldn't take the time off work. Wish I had just bought one now

I'm pretty sure Besiktas did too.

I'm pretty sure they didnt mate, as i would've definitely gone to France for the Marseille game, it was the decider and we needed to win to go through.

Marseille did, I would bet big £ on it. I saw they were available and even picked up the phone but the price (£45?) put me off as I wasn't sure of the days off and would have to try and sell it on.

Sure Besiktas did, too, but not 100% on that.
