    According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

          I reckon he even had time to chest it and then wallop it away and to think he scored with his right foot against Barca unfortunately he is going to be remembered for that for all time(unless he redeems himself by scoring next week-highly unlikely). What a horrible empty feeling this is.

                to be fair to jar, masher is as much at fault from a defending perspective. the commentators for once got it right when they said that the ball was one of those that are terrible to defend. risk slicing it with your wrong foot, let it go only for an attacker to get on the end of it, the height of it after the bounce. it was a tough decision.

                at the end of the day, we had more than enough chances to put the tie out of reach and for poor finishing cost us. the tie is not over and i was convinced that at 1-0 we'd still have to score at the bridge.

                we play better when we have a challenge to rise to. we'll do it.


                (Although I'm not as confident as you that "we'll do it" .)
