I think while Barry is a good player I don't think he's worth £12mil but in todays British market who is? I wouldn't be suprised if he did join that Carson wouldn't be involved in the deal in some way. if Rafa could convince him to play left back (while offering cover for CM) he make a good overlapping player the likes of Rafa probably wants from Riise, but obviously with better delivery. The other big thing Rafa is keen on is a goal threat from all positions. Barry scoring record for a lb/CDM is very good. I wouldn't be too upset if we bought him. Oh no they can't. To issue new shares you need the approval of the shareholders. It can be given in advance for a limited period, but hasn't been in this case.
