of course he's going to find it difficult to get into the box in his new role - he found it difficult in the role he'd been bought for!
    One off.

There's a difference between the role he played before and the role Rafa has asked him to play. No?

      a) he's **** for the role we bought him and
      b) whilst being limited in this new role our existing alternatives are even more limited

Disagree with all of that. Rafa plays him there because, even though it doesn't get the best out of Kuyt is DOES get the best out of the team. Thats my sense anyway

maybe one day people will realise the best of kuyt just isn't good enough to help us compete.

hope the lad has a good tournament regardless, its clear that rafa won't sell him yet and he'll be here next year. a good tournament will do him the world of good. i remember standing in the kop on his debut when he came on as a sub - full of confidence and shooting from 30 yards out

That header Kuyt scored for Holland the other days was EXACTLY like the goals he used to score for Feyenoord before we signed him, properly bullying the defender and powering the header home. Why does he play like such a poof for us, never see him use that kind of aggression. Reminds me of Heskey in that sense, doesnt utilise his strength enough. Lets have some of those type of goals for LFC next year please Dirk!

P.S Im predicting he will have quite a successful tournie for teh Dutch at Euro 2008.

Edit: Here's the link to the goal in case you havent seen it:

Great goal, I think Dirk is great and was integral to our excellent form since February. He also has a knack of scoring important goals. A strong tournament for Holland and Kuyt could have a huge impact on his form for next season.
