There's already plenty of local clubs who could do with the support.

I have to admit, you do have a point there mate. Why the need to start a whole new club?Anyone can watch football. They can support a premier league team which can be quite costly,or a local team for free or a fraction of the cost. There's plenty of local teams.

But why not have a club for people with a common connection - i.e. support of LFC? The attraction of local clubs has traditionally been a feeling of community. In this day and age common interest defines communities as much as geography - in that context a smaller team set up for LFC supporters makes a lot of sense.

No one is pressuring people to join up but a team like this seems a natural extension of communities like this forum into the real world. People want to continue to support LFC but enjoy watching live football regularly without feeling disloyal. AFC Liverpool sounds like a good compromise to me.

Quite like the badge, although I generally prefer as simple a symbol as possible.

There are but they aren't run by and for Liverpool supporters are they? That is the point of AFCLiverpool. At the games we will still sing Liverpool songs, still wear red etc. You don't get that at other local clubs.

It looks like a label of a beer I once drunk in Eastern Europe.

              ,

I support Liverpool.Living in Hertfordshire,i can't get to many games.I don't miss any though.I watch every single liverpool game live.

The thing is,i go down to Enfield playing fields with my son or take him down to Hackney marshes sometimes just to watch local football.I don't support a local team but i enjoy watching football at all levels.I don't feel i need to belong to a community to enable me to do so.

It's little like asking your mum for a Mcdonalds and her making you a burger at home.It just isn't the same.

It isn`t the same, but if you can`t afford McDonalds it`s better than nothing. (Unless your mother is a lousy cook, then it would like starting supporting the Bitters)

Thats fine but different people want different things. A feeling of belonging, a sense of caring about the team. I just don't see why there is any problem with this idea, even if it isn't for everyone.

I just think a bunch of LFC supporters wanted to get involved in a team together and made it happen - fair play to them.

I think AFC Liverpool is a very positive thing and great credit has to go to the likes of Alun Parry for getting off his arse and doing something about an idea he believed in.

It's a shame that a bit of negativity has to creep into every thread about this.

As for the badge, I quite like it although I didn't get a chance to see the other contenders.

I defo think they made the right choise out of those three options... The first one looks to much like a company logo of sorts (thinking motorola when I see it for some reason)! Option B is quite good as well...

                            Thanks mate.

Think the winner is definitely the pick of the bunch.

Pretty much exactly what I thought.

B is good but C just looks that bit classier and professional. Can imagine it'll be a bugger to embroider onto shirts though.
