We've ripped off an idea from the Mancs, who in turn ripped off and idea from Wimbledon, who in turn ripped off some idea from the continent.

It wont take off, at all, though fair play to those that make the effort, though it wont be Anfield.

Properly i mean. We've copied the mancs word for word (dodgy american owners, fans being priced out blah blah) and look how badly their other club has turned out? Infact are they even around any more?

They're actually doing rather well. I think they've already been promoted a few leagues from where they started.

You couldn't be more wrong. FC United are doing really well. AFC Liverpool is entirely different to what the Mancs did in that it's a pro-Liverpool FC club rather than a breakaway in opposition to it.

iam confused,ive not really payed mutch attention to it but after visiting the site and reading about them its made me even more confused....ill tell you what i mean then someone can put me right....

when all the crap 1st started with the yanks a group was set up were you could purchase shares in sumin(i thought afc liverpool),a professor from liverpool uni was on tv sky sports news claiming they were gonna try to buy the club back for the fans and that this sort of thing had been done before....now maybe ive got my wires crossed somewere but with that much crap being in the press about the yanks and the takeover its hard to keep up....

but on the afc liverpool if its genuin for the grass roots of footie then good luck to them,i doubt i will ever go to watch,but who nos

Its nothing to do with dodgy American owners and the Club know and have acknowledged this. Anyone who still thinks it is a protest at LFC basically isnt listening. Do FC United get on the Official United website? I dont think so. AFC Liverpool get on the Offical LFC one though. Would that be allowed if it was Anti-LFC? Not on your nellie.

If you search back on this forum, you will see the idea came about when the Premier League wanted to bring in the 39th game. The time when the powers that be decided that they didnt care about fans but they wanted more money. Nothing to do with LFC. Yes, LFC is one of the cheapest PL clubs but its still not exactly cheap. The average age of a fan in the Premier League is 43 years of age. 43!!!! Thats because they are the only ones able to afford it! Where are our future fans? Learning how to support Liverpool from Sky TV thats were. Granted going to an AFC Liverpool game isnt going to Anfiled, but you will be other Liverpool supporters and you can come home with plenty of change from £20.

I hear what people are saying about going to watch some other lower leaguie team, but then I dont support them. Ive no kinship with them. If I take kids there the kids will grow up supporting that team rather than Liverpool.

If you go to Anfiled, fine, youre not the target audience, if you dont go for whatever reason, then this is a chance to go and support a team that plays in red etc etc.
