- shame really I hate to bash Ged, the treble he brought is in 2001 was superb and the more i think about it, was a very pivotal point in the history of our club. A massive achievement. Scales, Babb, Ince, Berger, McAteer, Friedel, Kvarme, Leonhardsen, Heggem.

And Collymore, which was at the time a British transfer record.

It was just that, as with Houllier, many of them turned out to be fairly useless.
