Liverpool have added yet another young talent to their ranks with the capture of France Under-19 international David Ngog.

Rafa Benitez has shown how much he thinks of the 19-year-old striker by slotting him straight into the first team squad, despite making just 18 league appearances for Paris St Germain.

Not the strongest forward in the world, Ngog relies on his frightening pace and has been a regular goalscorer at all youth levels.

He has been handed a four-year contract at Anfield, where Benitez hopes to groom him under the wing of Fernando Torres.

Ngog leaves PSG for a reported £1.5 million after he refused to sign a new contract with the club, amidst reports Paul Le Guen did not guarantee him first team football.

It is expected that he will be handed his chance during Liverpool’s League Cup campaign this season.
